Those guys would probably be supervisors checking the quality of the vehicles coming off the line. They might also be engineers depending on when the build date. If early in start up during the launch period they would most likely be there. As for not being on any previous production lines, if production supervisors I would bet most of them came from the hourly ranks that worked on the line. I know I started life at GM working on the line and got off when I finished my undergraduate degree and ended my career in Engineering.

That would be the final inspection line just before the car goes onto the roll test station and front end alignment station.

Painting Wire wheels.....lost information
Larry Schramm replied to alsfarms's topic in General Discussion
They will not even break a sweat doing your wheels. I was there the last time to pick up the wheels for my '13 and they were making heavy duty freight wagon wheels that were about 4 ft tall. -
I have been to the Sapulpa, OK Historical Museum. It has a 1923 or '24 Buick truck there. A Model S-4. Thanks for the tour. We have been to many of the places you have documented on our trip down Route 66 and some other not shown. A good trip for anyone interested in history and culture.

That goes along with my saying "Just because you can does not mean you should" -
Is the engine original? If so more pictures of the engine, both sides and of the drivetrain including differential would be helpful.

I would think it is gas as it appears to be a radiator in front of the front axle.

Finding parts for a 100 year old car…

Amazon seems to have lost their edge. Not always the best place to purchase items. Don't get me wrong, they are still good, but they are in the process of laying off 18,000 persons. -
Clark street plant in Detroit. The area is now a depot full of shipping containter and other industrial activities.

Rustoleum Heavy Duty Farm Impliment paint
Larry Schramm replied to erichill's topic in General Discussion
I too painted a metal exterior door with Rustoleum and within a year it looked "chalky". Not the best IMO. For the paint from tractor supply, I use the tractor paint. It seems to hold up well, at least from my experience. -

Would you define "dead" weight? -
I will start this out with this contribution. I do not think you would like to slip back too far in the seat.
