  1. 1915 Model C25 Speedster. Note the matching yellow spark plug wires....
  2. Glue 3-4 wine corks together for a large enough float. Use a graindr or sander to shape cork to fit and move freely in the float bowl. Attach the float needle assy. Coat the finished cork/needle float with Krazy Glue to seal and protect it from ethanol/gasoline.

  4. I believe the plain B is 1931 as shown on my 31-67 Buick wheels on the ground. I am still looking for 1931 hub caps to replace the incorrect caps on the side mount spares.

  6. Yup, you are correct. But IMO, that rim is really too corroded to use.

  10. When #1 piston is up it should be close to the spark plug hole. Put a straw into the hole to feel the top if the piston when it is up.
  11. Valve caps?? Tire valve caps? Do you want to make this a show car or a driver? Original Schebler carburetors are available from many Buick owners who replaced them. Spark plugs are a matter of preference. Modern plugs are available. The BrassBuicks site listed above will be most helpful.
  12. Ernie, Most hub pullers have a pinch bolt that clamps the puller onto the threads. The correct puller makes this job easy. Have you tried to contact George? 308-586-1930.
  13. #1 is typically the front cylinder. Remove spark plug. Rotate engine until pistion is at the top of the cylinder. thumb over spark plug hole to feel increase in pressure. insert a straw or stick to see the pistion rise to the top. check timing marks on flywheel to verify. Verify that both intake and exhaust valves are closed.
  14. First, check for power at the coil with ignition on and off. That will verify the switch is or is not working.
  15. I am not a member of AACA because there are so few events (tours) held anywhere near the Northwest or west coast states.
  16. If you plan to drive it and not enter it to win trophies, it is entirely your preference.
  17. McLaughlin used the same drive trains as US made Buicks. You just need to determine which size you have.

  20. By dead original; if you mean no electric pump or bypass, you will need to drive on cooler days and at lower altitudes. One more option is to install an accumulator on the suction side of a mechanical pump to keep the fuel flowing continuously. I am not aware of any retrofit units available for gasoline applications, but some of the older mechanical fuel pumps have what appears to be an air filled dome that may work as an accumulator.
  21. That's what I do too. I bought a couple os scissor jacks on Amazon to carry in two of my Buicks. Be sure to buy the ones with a hex drive so you can use a socket wrench or a cordless drill/driver. The original jack is down right dangerous.
  22. Second or Third gear works just fine without stressing the clutch and other drive train components.
