https://www.facebook.com/marketplace/item/967526697781453/ 1968 custom sport Oldsmobile ONE owner car!!! All OEM paperwork car is really really nice not trading cash only it does have the 455 rocket big block does have brakes really really clean interior I did start it up I got veido of it running needs some odds and ends cash talks bushit walks.. thank you for looking at my post yesss the frame is great no rust really at all This Olds was sent by a friend - at first glance I gave it the “whatever” but being a fan of the big girls, and the rarity of a custom I gave it a second look. After another (10 or or so) looks, Im wondering if maybe it was a special order color as paint appears to be original. Then my mind began to wonder, what if this were a solid, running, driving project? At this point I had to stop (original documentation and floor mats make me believe the owner…) for the price you could hardly go wrong, even with the scarcity of parts. Someone like Rocket raider please bring me to my senses…..3000$ ???

Wheels are not correct for 1967 - look most likely to be 70-72. 68-69 did use the super stock 2 wheels albeit with a shorter trim ring. Also note this is a standard cutlass, not supreme, as evidence by the different chrome moldings as well as no back up lights by the license plate. Looks like a clean original example.

Well wishes for Steve Moskowitz during the next several weeks.

Prayers for Steve and his recovery - I have been putting off the “scaffold” surgery in my spine so I will definitely chase him down at Hershey this year. Be well, Steve! -
used but nice cruise control servo - was purchased years ago to use on a 73 Riviera, good condition rubber still pliable. $35 plus shipping. Located in West Chester Pa.

In the fall of 1972 my neighborhood pals and I were simply obsessed with sports, and collecting all kinds of sports-related stuff (And just like most, my mom trashed all those valuable later…who knew?)…Anyway, I can remember making my father pull into every Sunoco station so I could bolt from the car and ask for “a book of stamps.” The passion felt then is similar to now with classic automobiles. I believe the best night of my young life was when I visited the same attendant for the third time within a week, and he finally just reached into the drawer and gave me a stack of stamp books. I about lost it….wow, great memories!

Miracle Shine in a bottle, What really works???

https://www.autogeekonline.net/forum/how-to-articles/25304-secret-removing-oxidation-restoring-show-car-finish-antique-single-stage-paints.html I have done this a few times with excellent results - like Ed said, labor, labor and more labor. After each session I felt as if I had run a marathon and needed weeks to recover, but I prefer the original nice look as opposed to high dollar high gloss. Enjoy….(or maybe not 🤪)!! -
I’d like to buy a vowel….is there an “A”????

I have a problem with this thread - especially when everyone agrees that the “deal is good” and “shouldn’t last long.” I begin to think…and sweat, and rearrange my limited space and resources in my head, and picture myself in the vehicle and in my collection. I then snap out of it and close my lap top, only to return..over and over again. You do not know how dangerously close I was to making an offer on that white/red interior 65 Pontiac Bonneville convertible a few months back. My first stop every morning with my coffee…(afternoon, evening, bedtime…oh well.) Agree!

Post some pictures and detailed information like options, driveline etc and let the boys do their job….

I can’t take credit for this, I believe it was posted in another thread on this very same topic. Opinions vary as they say….thanks to the previous member who found this. https://www.pissedconsumer.com/country-classic-cars/RT-F.html

A slight dusting versus a full detail and running/driving - which would bring max price? https://cars.ksl.com/listing/7681707#

On the surface appears to be a clean reasonable example, however, I made the mistake one time of foolishly underestimating the damage of those rust bubbles under a vinyl roof. Original plans were to remove, grind/sand and spot fill and then replace with new vinyl. Things tragically went off the rails when large chunks of the roof section starting coming off, as well as numerous holes…it got ugly quick. Eventually sold as a project to someone with better skills…just a word of caution.
