  1. Have had luck at drug store fingernail polish display for color matches. It sticks well and is waterproof. Just don't let the neighbors see you standing there 😂
  2. Wouldn't this be more 63/4 style aas opposed to vacuum? Pit Stop Auto Group HVAC Heater Control Valve - 1790025 | eBay
  3. I called to see if it's still available but no answer.
  4. Gotta go shopping for an o-ring 😬
  5. The speed nuts on the bottom say door trim on the bags. I think they fasten the trim on the backside of the board. You'll need some more. The chrome thing in your hand with the diagram you can use for a christmas tree decoration.😆 The top stuff don't look familiar. Maybe someone with a rear defroster can identify them? Do I win anything?
  6. Mike, at least you're a good sport about it. Now I'm missing something I never knew there was there?🤪
  7. I hear you loud and clear Bernie.. If I don't like it the old one can go back in. I don't think these positractions quite snap together like legos. If it's crap I can yank it, and then get the owners manual and a BFH out and really ruin it LOL. It's just a fun hobby, maybe I'll get a good story to tell out of it? Steve G
  8. That's the plan, Man... What's the worst that could happen
  9. I'm definately going minimal as i don't have the experience or machinery to dismantle and reassemble it (Well,i can certainly take it apart 😅). Also don't have a lot of faith in most that say they can. The works turn very smooth. The teeth have a bearing finish. I used oil soaked fine emery cloth followed up with crocus cloth on the rough areas only. Spent a good hour. Pic below is the worst area and as good as its getting. It's going in this weekend. I think it'll be fine. The guys at HAMB say the corrosion will hold more great oil 😄 🤣
  10. I got this set out of a 66k car about 25yrs ago and have been lugging it around with me from house to house since. I plan on giving it a new oil seal and installing it in a car. Weather took a little nibble out of it as seen below. I can crocus cloth the rust, immerse it in vinegar, or make pretend I never saw anything. Any experienced thought? Thanks, Steve
  11. upper/lower radiator is tower top spring clamps for htr hoses corbin 2 finger clamps for fuel lines If you dont use a special pliers for the htr hose clamps you'll probablt distort them and they will leak
  12. I believe there are schematics in the chassis service manual. Accessories/radio. Section 11
  13. I'm not sure about your Title: "Not sure". Are you not sure where to start? Whether you're keeping it? You say "shoulda known better" and your purchase "got you thinking". If a lot works.. what doesn't? You say the dirt hid a lot and it sounds like the hood is scraped up, is that a deterrent? I like project cars but don't like rustaybe you are the same. Maybe you want to trade for a done car with a glove box full of cash? 😄
  14. $58 PLUS $25 Shipping? Really? I would go with the poly for that reason alone. Sway bar links, just use your old hardware.
  15. You can look and look for passenger side trim I don't think you will ever find them. I made some from aluminum flashing covered in vinyl. The cardboard with duct tape is the template.
  16. Do you have parts growing in your yard now? If so can you plant some NOS exhaust pipe and hanger seeds? 😆
  17. Not my favorite car, but my favorite restoration. It's the only car that needed everything overhauled. Body. Interior. Engine. Rear gears. Everything. Its the only time I rebuilt a Dynaflow. Never had one before either, so hard to judge the end result. It went forward and reverse flawlessly😂
  18. Thank God they have ashtray lights. Can't say I've ever struggled getting in a vehicle due to no courtesy lights. The older series even have a bulb at the ignition switch. How would you start the car without that?
  19. Here is my little contribution: Hijack wifey's sewing stash for a pro wiring harness tape remover. Never cut a wire inadvertently again. Just don't use the word "STRIPPER"at home🤣
  20. So, all stock engine.. and yes too much total advance.Check bushing Stop and likely replace springs
  21. I'm not familiar with vintage air aftermarket systems, my reason for posting is to suggest getting a coolant pressure tester. You pressurize the system while cold. It will help greatly in identifying the exact location of the leak. Mine was under 50 bucks but that was decades ago. Stant used to be a pretty good name.
