  1. Judging from Bill's rear antisway bar picture it looks like one more item to get bottomed out on lousy roads.
  2. 1963-64-65 Buick Riviera upper front bumper RE=CHROMED | eBay
  3. Where is it scraping that will be altered with different springs? have been on through bad potholes and nicked the exhaust due to the angle of one tire in and one out. I have hit speed bumps and scraped the frame under the oil pan. Are you hitting the gas tank/rear bumper? These definitely are not off road vehicles 🤣
  4. Fixing Santa's Sleigh for a Christmas ride Ho Ho Ho!
  5. just a guess: The rocker arm tips (contacting the valve stem) are from a different application and thicker. Shimming one side of the shaft is a head scratcher.
  6. Not wanting to create discourse (at least not this time 😆) but if the boys down under cant get their heads together on the opportunity to save on postage then they should pay the 30 dollar penalty to have it shipped individually. If I had a 63 I would grab one for a "just in case". But if I knew there were 3 sitting somewhere, I would let mine sit there free of charge til need was warranted. Why should Jim have 200ish held up (maybe forever) til the need arises times three. Just doesn't sound fair to Jim.
  7. That's top shelf work. All the details are true to original.
  8. Jim, I fight veering from original also. But now you have an uglyass green wire running over to your pwr steering pump with a mickey mouse terminal. This is to see if your chatter goes away. I know you were thinking of running dedicated ground for your delcotron also. Again, not in keeping with " to the letter" original. I'm guessing your alt light is still flickering? I gave in and started using these.. readily available old stock Made in USA item: https://www.ebay.com/itm/185660585490?hash=item2b3a3bb612:g:6XsAAOSwaUBjdZdP&amdata=enc%3AAQAHAAAAoLwMHwMkcsAvwdp%2F7m%2BPANg%2BvnLPrWm9UvBiYsyjv0IbpsnyHT3EbrIAUJ6yogxXbaceF2%2Bu4LFZVhs0BqfXoP95EI4YojjvWgDNPq7QwRmqUXelpw0rQmqH%2Bt3BJjFUvZs1w0pPuhr5zECD4EGGFUed1SJzOWRxmGqY%2BkLvkRPBSPrj2Al7xlnoAAafXvd4Bq40qb2sJDxqz1AG5ajExtw%3D|tkp%3ABk9SR5y7sfqcYQ. I use a bolt and nut and serrated lock washer on one of the legs of the vr and clean the inside wheel well to bare metal for the nut/washer. Those self tapping holes have gotten bigger and bigger and aren't good grounds anymore. I use a 00gauge Ground strap for the battery and oversized braided ground straps from engine to firewall. I also buy original appearing alts from these guys. Built from scratch with all new parts. About 100 bucks. Never a problem. Tuff Stuff Performance Finally, battery condition. It seems to be hit or miss. I got a NAPA Legend this time. The Interstate Megatron before lasted about 6 years. The NAPA now has a plain black top if you peel off a couple stickers for a nice clean look. I say this after years of seemingly endless hiccups in electrical systems. Unless you're deadset against any variance from factory perfect original stop fighting and update so you can drive confidently. I do have a known good orig VR you can have for shipping.
  9. Other than inside the frame from F to B (that is out of sight) where would you need a run of perfectly straight tube?
  10. Looks like some damage down low on the passenger fender and trim. Upholstery tight as a . The a/c compressor should be a two belt pulley, i like the dual snorkel air cleaner fabricating job. The car sits nice as it should for it's ambitious list price. The pitting of the exhaust manifolds begs underbody pictures.
  11. Here's a 3ft section of of a 65. This gets burnt out also. I'm not up for the it but I admire your willingness to take on the challenge
  12. So? After all that (trying to acclimatize myself with the little nicer attitude of my fellow hobbyists) I install the hoses. They're just generic hoses that will serve the purpose but are far from specific to 63/4/5's. I had to bend their tubes but I can't find my hose shrinker anywhere to remedy the excess. A Quality Reproduction is stated in the ad
  13. I'll pay EXTRA for Made in USA.
  14. Check out these Timken bearings that just arrived from rockauto for some work being done. Front inner and outer bearings Made in USA. Rear wheel China. I didn't ask rockauto but was happy to see the fronts. I know I can buy made in China stuff without trying. I guess I wanted to give the bird to one of the hobbies biggest suppliers. The reason is not because some stuff is chinese. The reason is that company says Made in USA. That's why I bought it from them. It arrived with stories. "Well, the hose is made in 🇨🇳 china and the fitting is made in 🇲🇽 mexico but we stick the hose in the fitting here in NJ." I coulda bought chinese from rockauto cheaper and my shipping would of been included. So cheaper and cheaper. I'm just not using that vendor anymore. See pics of hoses in original post if you're wondering who. Steve
  15. It said mexico on the bag, and the bag is affixed to the hose. You'd have to rip of the bag to separate it.
  16. I decided to purchase both power steering pump hoses online instead of local to save time. But most importantly because the seller implicitly stated: Made in USA I won't mention their name 😆 see pictures The return house is marked SUNSONG and Pressure side has "Made in Mexico". See where pen is pointing in Pic. Not running to USPS. Garbage goes in trash. This happens to often with this seller. 😕 Maybe it matters to others to try other avenues for parts Steve 9236
  17. I put a two foot exhaust fan at the top of the stairs venting to the unfinished attic. I was contemplating a daily blast of brake cleaner into a pot so she'd acclimate to it. 😆
  18. This guy fished out the 2 vents from one of his parts cars for me and let me tell you even the body putty was still pliable pliable I could almost reuse it again. The foam is even still good for another couple decades Thanks Bill! 👍
  19. Cut the old ones with bolt cutters. You are saying the cars sent you are a different style, do they have install instructions?
