1. Plymouthy, Do you have any info on the original question: Eastwood's plating system?
2. Hugh32, In the header bar at the top click on "Search". Keyword "Canada". This topic was discussed many times over the years. You will find some good dialogue and tips. Keep going back through pages. I checked out page 2 then 3 and Canada importing comes up quite often as you go back in time. (Unfortunately Importing from Europe threads show up too however topics on "Canada" are easily seen.) Regards, Peter J. Heizmann
3. Wayne, As usual you post photos and comments very promptly so all of us on the Forum can enjoy it. For this I thank you very much. Always enjoy your updates. Peter J...
4. Hi, Bill. The recommended tonque weight is 10-13% on the hitch. I bought a "Sherline Products Tongue Scale" ($110 range). My TR-6 & Southwestern 16' trailer have a GVW of 5240#. Have a tool box in the trailer's nose. NOTE: I also had my luggage and AACA Literature boxes in the bed of the truck before leaving for a National Meet (The items in the tow vehicle come into play big time if you want assurance the whole rig is set up correctly.) --Moved car onto trailer. Weighed the tongue and it came out to 855#. Moved the car back at intervals until the tonque weight registered at 550#. Marked off the location of the car and installed wheel chocks for the front wheels. Now every time I load the car I know it is the correct tonque weight. --Tonque Scales are a must for people who tow an assortment of vehicles as naturally the tonque weight varies with vehicle weights. Regards, Peter J.

13. Hello, Neil...Welcome to the AACA Forum. I took a look through the 2008 Awards listing and there is a 1912 Reo owned at the time by one John Manifor who won a 1st Junior in 1965. The meet is listed as South Gate however the state is not noted. There are South Gates in MD, IN, GA, and, CA. Hopefully, someone who recalls this meet will chime in soon. Regards, Peter J.

16. Hello, Jeff. I checked the on-line catalogue of the AACA Library & Research Center ("LIBRARY" icon on the AACA home page). Nothing under F.W. Vogler however, we have the following listed when I used the "Northwest Auto Company" as a search word. Marque or Author Jordan, Philip D. (Philip Dillon), 1903-1980 Title: National Road. Published: Indianapolis, Bobbs-Merrill Co. [1948] Description: 442 p. illus., map (on lining-papers) 23 cm. On a daily basis, we are listing more literature so please do not assume the above "National Road" book is the only info we retain. Our AACA Library & Research Center is our repository for thousands of books, periodicals, tech manuals for automotive research. We retain a wonderful staff that could research your query to the fullest: Click on "Library" under "Resources" within the header of this page and submit a research request. (Self explanatory steps listed). NOTE: As an AACA Member you are entitled 1 1/2 hours of "free" research time per year by our staff. The $10 processing fee still applies. May be well worth your effort to submit a Research Request. OR... 18. Hi, Charlie. The roof is galvanized not stainless. Prep instructions state scrubbing the roof with a water and TSP (Trisodium Phosphate) solution, rinse it well, and, let dry. Coated mine some time ago and 5/8ths of the roof is looking good. Noticed a few areas that I am in the process of touching up. Started to scrap it two weeks ago then rain halted my efforts. After Cumberland I'll finish it. No more than a 30 minute job. Peter J.
19. Hi, Charlie. One cannot assume that everyone in AACA checks the forum. You could send an e-mail to the meet chairman. (Info is on the meet brochure.) Peter J.

22. Hi, Charlie. I used 1.5 gallons and applied with a roller. The coating is of thin viscosity so it took 3 coats to build up the millage. The roof is galvanized like many trailers, thus, very hot heat retention. With the coating on it is slightly warm on days of 90-98 degrees. Lower than that, it is actually cool to the touch. Previously, one could burn their hand touching the unfinished galvanizing. Did not check the before and after inside temperature, however, it was like opening a blast furnace before coating. On very hot days now the air temp is actually comfortable when entering the trailer. FYI...Bought it at Keiffer's RV Sales, Stowe, PA up the road from you, Charlie. Regards, Peter J.
23. Paul, Good points about the roof painting. I did just that 2 years ago after noticing the white coating on a school bus roof. Painted the galvanized roof on my trailer with Premium White "Elastomeric" roof coating (bought it at a local RV dealer). It forms a rubber-like coating that withstands expansion and contraction. Did a before and after check of the heat inside my un-ventilated trailer. It certainly makes a huge difference. Of note, it took 3 coats but well worth it. Peter J.
