  1. BGL, where are you located? Set up a members bio.
  2. Intermittent dash lights lead me to the headlight switch...
  3. Are all year Reatta radiators the same?
  4. Corvette folks sell the Delrin rollers. Been awhile but $5 sounds like something I'd remember. As for the Fiero/ Reatta headlight mechanisms being similar; I remember the Fiero headlight doors opening rather slowly compared to the instant Reatta assembiles. Why?
  5. I've noticed that the trunk lid doesn't move when activated, but you can pull it up with your hand....
  6. The problem is in the headlight switch. Getting the car in a dark garage, I could cycle the headlight switch, and the backlites would come on maybe 1/4 of the time. I would still like a pinout so I can bench test the spare inverters I have. Thanks in advance. Who on this list is rebuilding (repairing) these switches? I took one apart years ago, and pieces went flying everywhere. I know when to avail myself of other peoples talents.
  7. I have a perfect windshield (no milking; perfect perimeter seal) for sale (out of the car). $500 You pickup. No shipping. Perryman, MD.
  8. Is there any difference in the two inverters we use in the Reatta? I've got several harvested from Reatta's/ Riviera's and I'd like to test them on the bench. Anyone have a pinout for the five terminals?
  9. My 2000 Seville has the battery under the rear seat. Vented thru the floorpan.
  10. Relax guys. This is a nice '90 coupe painted pearl white with a blue interior. Its history is an always outdoor car here in central Maryland. I've serviced this piece from the original owner over the years til she tired of it and moved on. I bought it from here, drove it for awhile, and sold it to my friend. He had issues with the A/C that was becoming a moneypit, so I took it off his hands. The underbelly and suspension are ok. Not horrible, but a daily user in mid atlantic weather. I attribute the rotten battery tray to 'battery issues'. And water. as an update, I've put a 'temporary' tray in, made out of oiled soaked T-111; cut to fit the space til I can make one out of aluminum. Don't laugh...just too many other projects to make permanent repairs at this time.
  11. Very good condition for a floor mat. $20 postpaid
  12. Pretty good shape! Just don't need saddle. $20 postpaid. harryyarnell@Verizon.net
  13. I too am having issues with the backlit buttons not lighting. Gaining access to the photocell is a royal PITA, but thanks to Dave's beautiful dashpad removal instructions, dashpanel is a "joy" to remove (without breaking). Now, removing the photocell and measuring the internal resistance, I get what I think are 'normal' resistance readings (35k lit-250k covered). I've got a bucketful of these sensors, and they (mostly) all are in that range. Now what?
  14. I've replaced a few in Riviera's. Same setup. PITA! Haven't done one recently so I'll just have to rely on my memory. I believe everything is done in the engine bay. The evaporator case is designed to split; there are a number of 7mm screws and clips that hold the case together, and as the previous poster mentioned, always a hidden screw. I'll go out and revisit the reatta and see if I remember some helpful tips...stay tuned.
  15. I rarely drive my Reatta at night, but did so the other day, only to discover that NONE of the dash buttons, crt buttons, or console lights were lit. I know this has been discussed before, but I've forgotten what the usual suspects are. Headlight switch?
  16. I insure both my Reatta's with J.C.Taylor. Now J.C. Taylor is an agent, not an insurance company. They REPRESENT Foremost insurance co. Interestingly the rates for the two cars are different; the '88's insured for $8,000 with a annual premium of $56, and the '90's valued at $7,000 with a premium of $98.
  17. Be advised, the Riviera door (window switches) wood panels don't fit the Reatta.
