Period images to relieve some of the stress
Pilgrim65 replied to Walt G's topic in Period Photos - Pre WWII
That’s a great photo John typifies what we perceive of the life and style of the Maharajahs , extremely rich and collectors of fine things including great automobiles. Think it was easier to repatriate British cars as returning diplomats probably could ship during and end of British Rule -

Hi I have read this thread and quite surprised at what you can buy for mid teens , some great looking cars , however listening to the experience of the posters I would feel you have act quickly to secure the good quality cars if they tick the boxes , myself I have hesitated to long and missed many a great deal and sadly regret some. -

Historic occasion and most memorable instance of the Anglo / American alliance. my father was there with a Sherman tank made by your parents or grandparents. Many American servicemen were in temporary barracks near where my mother lived New Milton in the new forest and she attended dances at the base with her older sister and had very enjoyable time and brief interlude in what were very fraught times . would have been good to remember with them yesterday , but sadly both gone .

Great images from many 30s films , showing beautiful amazing cars but I wonder as many of these films may have been produced by the same studio , has anyone spotted the same car in more than one film., just curious, would make sense economically -
