I concur! The deluxe wheel covers must be seen clean and in person to be fully appreciated. They have facets and depth in the sunlight. They can be broke down fairly easy for spring cleaning. Its like looking down the intake of an old fighter jet. Sure beats looking at a common set of lug nuts IMO ?

Oh great. Now I’m having nightmares about my timing chain. ? Otherwise, that’s a geat lookin’ motor! How many miles on her? Thanks for the vids too.

Appears like a Riviera and a Monte Carlo gave birth. ?

How important is to replace the timing gear on a 430?

Guess I’ll get on the wagon and do mine this winter. And change all the main seals on her. Please post pics all thanks -
I'll venture to state the "O"s were hand stamped on the line. Perhaps a QA indicator that the car got its customer ordered options installed?

One of the main problems with larger casts of aluminum is that they shrink and warp on cooling. The chemistry in its metallurgy can effect this variably if not tightly controlled. This is usually compensated with a final machining at mated surfaces / ports then QA. I wouldn’t trust anything from Cars based on my experience. I’d go with TA. They know Buick big blocks.

Vogue tires!

Blue tape at the joints to not scratch. Don’t final torque ‘til all is in. Those edges are like razors sometimes. send us a pic and good luck

Rivieras and Riviera parts for sale on local Craigslist, eBay, etc.
PWB replied to RivNut's topic in Buick Riviera
Of course they pop up right after I get my ‘73 Chevy. That bronze gem is close from my first ‘73 Riviera’s home, Visalia Doubt he’ll trade.... -
33G can get “Frankenstein” in someone else’s garage. Ooops - use of that “name” describing a car has gotten me in trouble here ... I’d better end now PC

CARS cant even get motor mounts right amongst all the sub par items sold to me. Im done with them. I’ve wasted enough time and money. Sorry for our pain

Not trying to be a hater here, I want us all to have good experiences. I had a black rubber floor mat set from CARS and it leached out a green powder after 3 months. There was no stopping it and I never applied chemicals to it. Their red engine paint turns pink once heated. Bought a dash pot from them last year - failed within 2 months. Hood rubber bumpers - split / cracked within 3 months. Only good experience is a rear axle cover hasn't leaked. That car doesn't get driven so who knows? QA department does not exist. I don't want your liners getting stained. I would put parchment paper between for the interim. It does look great!

Want to buy a set of mint condition 65 wire wheel covers
PWB replied to Seafoam65's topic in Buick Riviera
Just rent them out ‘til permanent replacements are had - if needed Everyone wins -
OK, I get it now. Its been done before. Check out this successful hybrid. And both of these rides are currently for sale. Emphasizing the "spine" here. Seems the market is flooded with Rivieras? It’s duck season! https://newyork.craigslist.org/jsy/cto/d/mild-custom-1973-buick-riviera/6678958353.html

Jumpin Jehosaphats, its been attempted! Just look at that wheel to fender gap. Now that presents quite a challenge to get right...hmmm that gap is coincidentally about the compression travel distance of '73 crash shocks . Thanks Mr. Kinney

I'll take the Phantom - and the woman - from behind Door #7 a thousand times over the rest, please. That car should have been produced.

Greetings all, I'd like to know if anyone has had any experience/references with a '72 nose installed on a '73. Its something I've always envisioned since '83 and am seriously considering doing as a later project in retirement. I prefer the more linear dash board and rear bumper lines on the '73. So the donor would be the '71 or '72 nose. My official fact gathering starts today. Please forgive if this has been beat down. Thanks

Congrats Rocky. Can't go wrong with silver and black. And it takes time to find the right suit. I bought my last 4 used cars long distance. Two never have visited prior to purchase. Did my homework and just got the right vibe from the sellers. Perhaps I paid too much but no lemons ever and I was happy. Whats that station wagon you have? Nice. We are a wagon family here. Stay in touch.

Photos do that dark green no justice. Gorgeous. I will be in Dallas 16 September probably too late. But you can have lemon squad inspect it for you. https://lemonsquad.com/ -
That is a beautiful engine. If my Riv was already custom I would do it. No sticker shock to me what with powder coat / accessories and warranty included. Sweet

Hey Rocky Any offers? Love that silver / black.

Greetings We need much more information. What is the recent history of the car? Was it running good before? What fuel type is used?

Great detective work CJP. I’ll be watching close to see where this angel goes. Looking at the ignition, air controls and completely worn out floor well side carpet one can assess she was long well driven. White and no AC can be a hard sell sometimes. I hope it sells high at Mecum -
Say, Mr Bill The next time the wife throws me to the dog house, may I crash in that beautiful trunk?

So it seems ol’ Triple Fudge will be buried in the snow again with its original owner? Hey Metro, don’t eat yellow snow ⛄️
