  1. Yes , is keyed in neck but trim screws off . Never heard term wash woman ??? . What's that ? tom
  2. Hello Gary . I attached a pic of my fuel gauge ,looks to be similar . Mine was frozen , after removing and cleaning ,made some new paper and cork gasket it worked fine . the drain plug is probable 1/4" pipe thread . You have same size plugs in carbs and filters ,can get at any plumbing store . You should chase threads first with tap . But be careful with both , mine had it's hole stamped in tank and when I over tightened it cracked and leaks . By adding thread tape and loosening it is ok .
  3. I got my two plates both were poor condition .Made them look best I could , touch up some chips , closed a few hole back and WD'ed to give some shine .,and photo-ed . The cost is $ 75 for life of , other cost of 51 and 75 where required regardless , on new transfers and plate . However these may not be eligible for transfer to other vehicle of different year . But can follow to different owner .
  4. Thanks 30 Dodge , I did see gas tank.com also found a company tanks inc . They had Dodge tanks starting at 1933-34 coupes and sedans . They where just a little to long . But your PM of 20's Ford tank might fit in perimeters . Would have to close a few holes and add my parts . But price is reasonable . I have mine at radiator shop getting it priced for repair and rebuild . If not reasonable ,I have a fab shop that I can take it to and might just cut whole top out and solder new on . I'll probably seal it then, while open ,it can be sand blasted for good cleaning .
  5. This was found in old warehouse being cleaned out . I think it is some kind of cast iron car dollie . Looks like balloon size tires can drive up on off either end . Has ball bearing steel wheels an only marks are large (No2) seen on corner .
  6. Before I get in to some serious repair work on my fuel tank . Does anyone have one for sale is 36" x 13" with fill hole mount and gauge threaded hole . For '31 Dodge Graham pick up . Pic attached . Found top rust thru in numerous spots .
  7. Unless your a very good machinist . I would order one from George gmcmurtry@cmbarqmail.com ,he makes them . They come in various sizes have a fine and tapered thread . Appox 200 bucks ,and a deal at that price . I however doubt you would break the borrowed one , If you follow all the lube and install instructions, they are the best . Do a search you'll see more info on them being used on this forum .
  8. Very nice !! I'm sure its turning heads along the road .
  9. I'm in process of rewiring my headlights back to original style loom and wire . I found that the six wires in loom from clum switch go toward radiator and enter frame then come out as two looms smaller with three wires each at the frame rail . This is shown in pics sent from another truck owner ; see attached . The problem is there is no access to the joint of the three looms , which is probable a TEE or Y fitting in the frame ,boxed by fender and radiator skirt and shroud . Any one accessed this area ??? Next , all wire seems to be wheat colored ,yet manual says lights are Black ,Red and Brown for parking . How where they marked in 1931-32 Dodge Graham trucks ??

Page 235 of The Filling Station catalog . Just file corners perfect match . Check thread size . Tom
  13. You do not say what the overall condition and finish is like . If the outer finish is missing you may try soaking in RAW linseed oil this will have to be brushed on multiple times over weeks if you can't soak dip . Evaluate after and clean outer surface before adding finish if it is tightened . If the wear is in fello / spoke hole or tenion ,it is time to replace . There's to little wood doing to much work to chance the lateral loads .
  14. Receive it 28 Chrysler . Looks better then one I have . Now getting cloth loom to make up harness . BOY ,WE HAVE SOME GREAT PEOPLE ON THIS FORUM . THANKS AGAIN . I'll post pic when done, winter decided to come back for last stand so may be awhile . Tom
