  1. This should get your Saturday off to a good start!
  2. Is this a modern version or a kit? I don’t know much about these type of cars, but I’ve seen a few at shows lately that say they are built in the modern age but not kit cars. Lovely car. Thanks for posting.
  3. A few thoughts on Sears... Being in the real estate field and having grown up in NH in a pre 1800’s colonial, from which I acquired a love of older homes, I have a love of the California Kit Homes as well, (as they are often called in Oregon). Most of them were built in the 1915-1930ish time frame, from what I gather, especially the 1920’s. I have toured many at open houses. They typically feature lots of beautiful built-in wood bookcases, trim and floors. They often have arched doorways, stained glass windows and many, beautiful architectural touches. They are my favorite style of home here in the NW. I grew up shopping for Father’s Day, dad’s birthday and Christmas presents in Sears’ tool department. I don’t ever remember dad having to exchange any tools. @JACK M has helped me sell many of my father’s, almost exclusively Craftsman, tool collection. I still have a couple tool boxes of his hand tools. They are the old school “Made in the U.S.A.” Tools. I can’t bear to sell them, even though I no longer have a garage to store them in Oregon. (I moved to a condo for my new job). Craftsman tools are quintessentially representative of my father’s garage and hobby. It is so sad to me, that this brand, and Sears, has become obsolete. Things change and life goes on. I must be getting old. ?
  4. They have good days and bad. The real sad thing is knowing that they don’t have their memories.
  5. I could write a book about the dreams I’ve had. It would mostly be nightmares though. The main themes are finding more garages with my father’s cars or trying to find help fixing them, selling them, or finding all the parts for them. ?‍♀️ Then there was the dream where I crashed one when I was trailering it to Oregon. I did have a couple that reminded me of going to car shows with my father when I was young. It was like having some extra time to share with him. He’s still hanging in there, but has no recollection of his cars and usually doesn’t remember me these days. He’s even told me “It’s okay if you tell people that I’m your dad, but we know different”. At least he doesn’t mind me calling him dad. ?‍♀️
  6. I noticed several 57 Fords, including some Skyliners in the video. I live in Medford also. I wonder if he has any usable Drums or other good spare parts @JACK M? Maybe we could go check this out?
  7. Looks somewhat familiar, huh? Glad my father’s collection was much smaller and things were in better condition.
  8. My 55 Chevy photos were used on a scam site. I sued for copyright infringement and settled out of court. It was a financial risk my intellectual copyright attorney was willing to take for me, to jerk the guy around. He was from Russia. I wish we could put a stop to this balogna, but a watermark with your contact info would make the photos unusable for a scam like that. This happens in real estate also. They use for sale photos to get rental deposits with ads on CL. Watermarks help.
  9. Chuck, upload pictures or no one will pay attention to the ad.
  10. What I was thinking. (Both comments). Neat looking car though.
  11. Great video. I hope to go to Hersey someday. Also hope someday to be able to think about antique cars without a tear in my eyes for my dad. Thanks for sharing.
  12. @keiser31, I am in your town nearly every weekday to bring my dog to daycare, (don’t laugh), and I see lots of great cars. Somehow, the only car I’ve been able to catch on camera is this one in Medford though. ?‍♀️ I guess I need some lessons from you.
  13. Actually I’m certain it is and a very nice one! Would love to see more pics of it. Year?
  14. I just check Gas Buddy. Gas near my dad’s place in Central Texas is $2.65 right now.
  15. I often posted links to eBay car ads on FB groups specific to Antique car groups and/or Marketplace as well as various parts. I sold the 50 Ford, a dodge van, an old gmc pickup bed and various parts from FB ads.
  16. Central Texas is consistently the cheapest gas I’ve seen between Oregon and Texas.
  17. Yes, almost exactly 4 hours from Medford.
  18. @keiser31, have you seen this about town?
  19. Oh wait... almost made @JACK M late. ?
  20. I experienced this going to Austin airport. It routed me to a commercial area behind the airport and almost made my daughter late for a flight.
  21. I’d love to see if if you come down. I’m not an old guy or a young girl, so I will have to be a spectator. ? Be safe!
