  1. You made a tow bar. picture? How attached ? "Are you towing with front wheels off the ground? are you able to tow it with wheels off the ground ?? Some one steering is best. If engine is installed in vehicle the car should trac. wide turns are best. //////////////////////// I use a straight tow bar which bolts to axle ( with a piviot) Tow bar extends to tie rod and clamps to it. This forces wheels to turn, even with out engine weight. Wide turns are best.
  2. Compare the stylized shape to two mascots. 1939 Cadillac 1947-48 Nash While not the same, very similar in concept/form.
  3. Face and protuding chin, looks male, overall strong chest and solid heavy wings? Nothing female/delicate at all.
  4. About 1964, I took my '27 Essex around a couple of blocks, it stopped..............no ready fix so walked home..............neighborhood kids had watched me go buy and followed me...............got gas can and we all walked back.............I pretended starter did not work........... had them push me, it started...............I shut it off................they just swarmed the car to get to push it three blocks over and two straight to home......................10 yeaes ago, in old neighborhood, was "hailed" by two brothers visiting parents.................they still rembered and wanted to know if I still had it................I DO !
  5. We should chat some time, this will be 60 Hersheys in a row for me. A Friend I met there 50 years ago will be camping with me, he will be 101 and 8 months old at Hershey time.
  6. I like the body character lines ar rear body corners. Very nice preserved interior.
  7. I enjoyed all the car's pictures. So nice to see things we built, not just in memories-mind. Quality Final Line Buy Off at Cadillac's Fleetwood plant and Final Line Buy Off at Clark Street. The comments are interesting, they are all in retrospect. There were a very limited number of greenies 47 years ago. The strong opinions also reflect on every age of our clubs cars.
  8. department store, up scale sign artifact in womens area.

  11. I hope they keep the exterior buttons, you can lock the vehicle with keynfob inside and not worry while at the beach or other activity. Very valuable item.

  14. Thank you, Wayne Sheldon, I have have enjoyed your many responses for some time. The kindness in your often detailed missives have enlightened myself and I am sure many others. One further thought, the note from Liisa seems to show two seperate motormeters, to me. Looking at the first meter the lower base flange and the brass screw threads seem to display a marked difference in wear, corrosion when compared to the owl head side shown. In addition the owls head view shows the tall black protrusion not shown in the other view. This version may show the bulb base, where others of this type have shown a much thicker owl body with bulb enclosed. It just might mean she used singular terms when she may have shown two different meters. Thank you again for your often shared knowledge. Hans
  15. The Owles Head appears to be installed correctly. Another note: All of my Motometers have two "face plates" a front and a rear, and in between them covering the circular hole is "ising glass". The translucent quality allows on comming headlights to illuminate the circle and see the red liquid in dark light conditions. Very very very seldom see automobiles with Ising glass in place. Should be a demaret.
  16. LOOKS LIKE A BUMPER SUPPORT TO HELP GUIDE AND SUPPORT THE ENGINE GRANK WHEN USED.
