  1. Check your radiator pressure cap. A non A/C cars came equipped with a 7 psi cap. An A/c equipped car came with a 13 psi cap. On my car I changed my 7psi cap for a 13psi cap. Got the timing and vacuum advanced right. I rarely loose coolant now. I need to get a Temp gauge that shows actual temp (numbers, not "C" "N" "H"). My 1990 Ford Diesel temp gauge makes wild swings toward "H" and then back toward "C" But when I look down at my aftermarket gauge showing actual temp in numbers of degrees F, It's at a steady 195
  2. Look out for rust. Buy a car that is not rusted out.

  9. The engine paint is a bit glossy (?) the power steering hose terminals are a bit bright (?) the power steering pump housing should be green (?) the hood hinges are zinc plated (?) shouldn't the hood hinges be painted body color? or black?
  10. I run premium gas. With the original type mechanical pump I add marvel mystery oil to the fuel, about 4 ounces to a tank full. I believe the marvel mystery oil prevents vapor lock
  11. Right. A Chev Truck with a 396 or 454 , automatic trans and the CSToption package would be a different story
  12. Ask a local short haul trucking company (dump truck) and/or earthmoving contractor where they get their radiators repaired
  13. I agree with the above. $800
  14. It is this point that I was confused on.

  16. 32 inches would be for Super and Roadmaster one shorter than 32 inches would be for Special and Century
  17. That's too bad, .... Quick thinking on your part to get the Vette away from the other cars.... And to not open the hood. I came upon a car with an engine fire , I was several yards away and yelling 'don't open the hood!!' They didn't heed and sure enough, when they opened the hood, the fire grew explosively .... Did you tell the insurance company how you saved them $$$$ by your quick actions? You should tell how you saved yourself and them from a larger claim .... and ask them to send a more experienced And Vette savvy adjuster....
