  1. This pic was shot between 1905-1908 from what I’ve seen in her collection.
  2. This picture was taken in the first decade of the 20th century by my great grandmother at Plymouth Rock. Might anyone know the make and year of the car? Sorry I can’t get a better angle.
  3. Nice car! Oregon plates, Northern California sale. I’ll bet Keiser31 knows this car!
  4. You only live once. The older I get the more I realize it’s time to give back. Kinda like Scrooge, eh? Thanks to every one who shares the experience!
  5. My mother worked at Westlake Chevrolet in Seattle in the late fifties . I recall her saying what a dud the 58 Chevies were. Many issues plagued these cars. What is was I don’t know, it wasn’t important to me then or now. But anybody trashing the 55- 57’s don’t have a leg to stand on. Popular cars when new, still popular now.
  6. There are chrome plated aluminum reproduction covers available through SRPM street rods. Can anyone swear to the quality of them? Not bad at $725.00.
  7. The best way I know of finding those potmetal front pieces are to buy a whole car. Do what you want with the rest, but the crazy money people want for those parts dictate that move for me. Fortunately my front end is in perfect shape, but if that were to change our cars aren’t so rare as to not be able to grab a “ran when parked” special somewhere.
  8. There’s a guy that sells running boards for your car on eBay. I bought a set for my Dodge. Good quality too. You will be happy with your Mopar from this era. I call my motor “eternal combustion “. Many trouble free miles.
  9. I’ll bet since oldcar31 hasn’t been on here since 2012, he’s forgotten about us or moved onto the great car show in the sky!
  10. I would call it brutal. Must’ve been a engineering school dropout.
  11. The hood ornament on these cars are amazing! It’d be nice to get a good close up to see it.
  12. My next door neighbor is into vintage film photography. All of that stuff is still going like it never stopped. You cannot go to the local drugstore anymore. I just looked online and found “Old School Photo Lab”. Great job on the pics and your instructional videos are excellent too.
  13. Wow, chromed front bumper bolt covers! Nice touch!
  14. Wow, what an unbelievable survivor!
  15. There is a red 1933 Graham sedan that shows up sometimes in Seattle at the Greenwood Car Show. So beautiful. If your people are thinking scrapyard, I’m thinking road trip. These parts belong to such great cars. Somebody’s out there looking!
  16. You know what they say...” Older is bolder”. Age is just a number. A cool car is ALWAYS a chick magnet!
  17. In late 1936 Chrysler introduced the hypoid differential. Does that not require a hypoid oil?
  18. Hey Joe, Speaking of fuel economy issues, can I interest you in a slightly used set of cow magnets?
