Kevin389
This car is probably small enough to fit in the back of a truck and It has a hand crank to start it. That’s pretty much all I can say about it. I couldn’t find any tags, names or symbols. Is it something worth going back to try and get it out of the woods and restore? I’ve posted on several groups and asked everyone I know and nobody knows what it is

1939_Buick
Quote Maybe British??? Citroen Avants were made in Britain, but in right hand drive. Could never be "restored" but the engine and its front wheel drive~transmission probably worth a little more than its scrap value. But would be few buyers. As above suspect it is a 4 door saloon. Hard to tell for your remains, but was also made in 2 door convertible style https://www.classicdriver.com/en/car/citroen/traction-avant/1938/1005908 https://www.classicdriver.com/en/car/citroen/traction-avant/1938/683734 https://www.autoevolution.com/cars/citroen-traction-15-cabriolet-1939.html#aeng_citroen-traction-15-cabriolet-1939-29 Edited April 24 by 1939_Buick (see edit history)

28 Chrysler
Nice spare tire cover, most of the rest would need to be replaced to restore this car.

30DodgePanel
@John E. Guitar kudos to you and the other board members. OP said he posted it on several group sites (probably for a number of days or weeks), yet you nailed it within 20 minutes of him posting it. This group never disappoints.
Hans1
An interesting note to me from a friend in OZ Hi Hans It is a 11BL Citroen from the 1949-52? period . A French made version. Commonly known as the Light 15 . There was also a 6 cylinder model called the Big 6 . ( not the English version which had a wooden dash panel and assembled in Slough England from CKD parts with some English content such as Lucas electrics , Rubery Owen wheels etc. and leather trim instead of cloth. ) Regards Brian

That's an aweful lot of effort for very little reward (if any). I would leave her where she's resting. I'd probably try to get some nice filtered shots of it then photoshop the background to a European farm setting just in case anyone is interested in that type of photography. 1912Staver
TA Citroen's do have a strong cult following. Someone might be interested in it for parts. Quite rare and desirable to the right person. Kevin389
So I’m still trying to find a picture of what this car looked like and can’t seem to find anything that has body lines and a door shaped like this one
1939_Buick
Look at post 2 Your car is cut/rusted in half and both side doors (4 off) and roof have gone or in the heap somewhere. Car has lost 3~4ft in length. The 2 door Cabriolets (convertible) do not have same rear design-spare wheel position Edit These cars are front wheel drive with torsion bar suspension. Do not have a chassis. Production 1934-1956. Very advanced design for the time.
