Seller's Description:

1956 Chrysler Imperial 2-door Hardtop

  • Good condition
  • Driven 56,000 miles
  • Automatic transmission
  • Exterior color: White · Interior color: White
  • Clean title
  • This vehicle has no significant damage or problems

Here is a very rare car. This has been in our family since the late 60s. Unfortunately, it sat in a shed on the family farm from the early 1980s until recently. The car was literally dragged out of the shed and slowly brought back to life. The 354 HEMI was completely rebuilt along with all the associated hardware. The transmission was also rebuilt. New tires, new fuel system, new brake system, etc. The car is ready for someone that will truly appreciate it for what it is. Its not perfect but its perfectly enjoyable. Lots of paperwork to go with the rebuilding of the car. Asking $28,500 or trade. Vehicles of interest are these: RAM SRT 4dr, Chrysler Conquest or Jeep SRT Grand Cherokee. More info given to serious, serious people. Located one hour west of Minneapolis.

I like it, but the tow truck driver left his magnetic tail lights on the car. New Yorker tail lights, how beautiful you are.🤔

Those taillights are part of what makes the 55 and 56 Imperials so cool.

I am having a little trouble figuring out the seats. It looks like the fronts have been redone with the incorrect inserts.

Back seat looks correct, albeit a different color.

Maybe now that I look a bit closer I can see the Thunder birds. All the pictures of the front seats makes them upside down.

If this thing was out here in the NW I would be checking it out. I miss my very similar car.

Jack your car was beautiful. The listed car looks like more work and money than I could handle in a lifetime.

Some cars make good fun drivers without investing a lot of money. This car just looks badly neglected.

The '56 seat trim cloth is referred to as "Eagle cloth", the term having been sourced from the acknowledged chrome eagle ornaments embellishing the front and rear of the car as well as other eagle locations from year to year including things like dome lamp lenses.

As a '55 Imperial owner, I would not have the tail lights done ANY other way on these corporate-topping models !

I wonder if modern digital printing could replicate that pattern.

I do like these Imperials.  The taillights make them unique and do like the design; awesome!!  GLWTS
