deac
I have one of these and it probably would do 70 mph but I would never do it. Too much for an 83 year old car. It looks like a clean car but certainly not an original looking car!
kingrudy
The ad says that it is a Special, but it is really a Super. The tail lights and the door handle in the belt line are an easy give away. I agree with DEAC, nice looking car, but I am a little prejudiced.
DrumBob
It's not heavily customized, and I'm partial to red.
suchan
A sharp car, but I can’t see anyone going to the expense of returning it to factory appearance, or the SBC/open driveline route either, so, if you like a red/orange slightly custom Buick with a stock motor, here it is! Fossil
Nice color but it looks out of place on this car.

Folks used those a LOT back then when the 6V electrical system was the system of choice. One could push another car with less chance of damage. Here's a used vintage one for sale on the internet. There should be others. There may be an old car parts supplier that even makes new ones. Search "vintage bumper guards" or similar wording....good luck https://www.mercari.com/us/item/m40213789489/?srsltid=AfmBOorwb4ksLaoczHvDpL-nKNh6gtjOtFVcWu4Px6hKwiezgZTG1yHAeP8

Leif in Calif
Here's a link to the new ad, which has the same pictures and copy as the old one: https://sfbay.craigslist.org/scz/cto/d/ben-lomond-1940-buick-special/7706466081.html
kingrudy
Missing the stainless steel spear on the stream board, gravel guards on the rear fenders and the gravel shield that fits in-between the trunk and the rear bumper. Also missing the plastic center piece on the speedometer and I would suspect that one of the gauges is non op seeing as there is an aftermarket one below the dash. That said, I like it. Steve_Mack_CT
Looks like the rear fenders are filled where they should meet the body and welt should be. A lot of times that covers up quickie rust repair jobs or incomplete rust repair. 2
