Jim Skelly
They got the styling just right on the '67. Too bad so few were sold. I really like it.
kingrudy
Not a car that you will come across everyday. Styling is absolutely beautiful IMO. I have seen a few doggy looking examples of this car, but this one is as clean as a whistle and the color combination inside and out is the cat's pajamas.
Jim Skelly
I just realized that both front fenders are missing the Marlin script behind the wheelhousing. It still looks like a nice car.
Fossil
Very nice looking car. Especially in that color combination.

roysboystoys
I think the reason it looks better than the earlier ones is they used the Ambassador chassis , not the Classic . I think it's about 6 inches longer? 55er would have the facts?

Not much of an AMC person but Roy is correct, the Marlins used the 112" Classic WB in 1965 & 1966 and the 118" Ambassador WB in 1967.
StillOutThere
The original "Marlin" was AMC's Tarpon concept car by Dick Teague of course. The Tarpon was on the Rambler 106" wheelbase chassis and debuted in 1964. So the wheelbase grew for the production '65 Marlin and grew again for the '67 swan song. And we Americans like 'em longer, lower and wider" y'all know. I wholeheartedly agree the '67 Marlin is the best looking of the group.
TAKerry
My aunt had one of those when I was a kid. I thought it was the ugliest car on the road! Looking at the one in the ad, I have an 'adult' appreciation for it. Great lines and quite stylish. I can say that about quite a few AMC's now, not so much then.
Fossil
I know exactly where your coming from on lack of appreciation when you were younger. This car in these colors with the way it was photographed is stunning.
58L-Y8
Easily the best version of the unfortunate Marlin. The real prize of the 1967 AMC Ambassador line is the convertible: clean, sleek, elegant, so un-Rambler-like you almost forget it's an AMC product.
