chas1963
Mark your calenders...the 2022 Sentemental Tour is on! September 10-16. Gettysburg PA. Hosted by the Buzzard's Breath Touring Region. Yes, we have been to Gettysburg many times. No, we will not be seeing the same old places. Yes, we will be at the Wyndham Hotel. No, we are not going to tour the Gettysburg Battlefield. Yes we are going to see some incredible sites you probably have never seen before. No, you do not have to polish the monuments on the battlefield. We did that on the Founder's Tour in 2017. Yes, the dates are shifted a little for this tour. We begin touring on Sunday September 11 and our closing banquet is Thursday Septmber 15. No, by all means you do NOT want to miss this tour!
Doug Novak
Thanks sounds like fun. I would love to take my 1974 Porsche for that one. Are there any restrictions, and I live near near there in New Freedom Pa. so would not be staying at the Hotel. Doug
chas1963
Unfortunately the Sentimental Tour is for vehicles 1928-1958.
Eric Wahlberg
I may have to do this since my Porsche is a 1958 and has been shown at the three AACA events held at the Wyndham complex.
Jack Welch
How does one sign up for this tour. I saw it listed in the latest AACA magazine, but no info as to how to sign up.
MCHinson
Jack, I don't think you can sign up quite yet. You can use the activity request card that will be on the back of a future Antique Automobile magazine mailing cover sheet. I would expect it to probably come with the next issue. chas1963
The Registration Form for the 2022 Sentimental Tour will be posted shortly. I have already been contacted by some dedicated motorists who will be staying for the “In Between Tour”, a very informal and fun week of causal touring, great food and fun as we make our way from Gettysburg to Lancaster to Princeton NJ for the Glidden Tour. Don’t miss a mile of the fun! If you have any questions drop me a line at chas1963@hotmail.com. See you down the road! chas1963
Registration is open for the 2022 Sentimental Tour in Gettysburg! The registration form is available on the AACA website or you can email me at chas1963@hotmail.com. And for those of you with prewar cars who are also planning on the Glidden Tour, we have a first ever In Between Tour with interesting and fun stops as we work our way from Gettysburg to Lancaster to Princeton. The In Between Tour will be short days. Very casual. Great food. A Wine and Cheese Evening at the Laundromat because why should necessary chores be boring? Learn some history, see some amazing places and really enjoy motoring in a prewar car!

This would be my first time, so 'informal' seems like a good way for me to get my feet wet. I'm currently sorting my '38 Century and the September weather should be a little more comfortable... chas1963
You have a great car for both Sentimental and Glidden tours! If you go on the main portion of the AACA website you can find the registration form for the Sentimental Tour. Our host hotel is the Wyndham in Gettysburg. Each day will take us to fun and interesting stops in PA and MD. Back roads and no interstates. Great for old cars. If you decide to do both tours, because they are so close together time wise and destination, I have put together a fun stop and lunch each day. No early starts, no long drives. We will be staying in Lancaster County and that Saturday we will make one last stop at the American Treasure Tour, have lunch and motor over to Princeton for the Glidden Tour. I do hope you make it. TourIng is so much fun! Charlie

Well, I was originally asking about simply joining the 'between-the-tours' tour through Amish country (i.e., Gettysburg to Princeton). That, coupled with my misreading the car age requirement for the Glidden made me think my car didn't qualify. Now that I understand I'm eligible for both I'll have to check my calendar... If it turns out I can only make one tour, I'm leaning toward the Glidden, as we went to Gettysburg with the ROA in 2019. Can I meet the group in Gettysburg and tour with with those who are headed to Princeton? If so, how do I go about registering for the Gettysburg-to-Princeton leg? I will go to the website to register for the Glidden tour.
chas1963
Our tours are not in Gettysburg except for the last day. And it is a brand new museum that just had a soft opening last weekend. I was at the ROI meet in Gettysburg! You will see new things on this Sentimental Tour.
