auburnseeker
Looks pretty clean. Wonder what the reserve is?
The 55er
Hudson in 1954 offered chrome wire wheels, the center caps had small red triangles in them but those look like Chrysler type. Also unusual to see a 54 Hudson without fender skirts. Still looks nice though.

I think the seller will be disappointed because people are looky looing now and won't be serious about a price.
B Jake Moran
Based only on the photos above, I think this would be a good $12,000 car at the top end. Sellers though, have different ideas and he may be thinking it is a $20,000 car in this market. It is not.

B Jake Moran
Perhaps location. And more buyers searching the markets since we are all home but whoever is bidding is already too high. If this creeps up another $2k then the seller should grab it. I suspect the high bidder has buyers remorse already. No offense to Hudson collectors - I used to be in their club and owned a 1949 Commodore 8 - but $15k + gets you into nicer cars in this market. Perhaps these 54 Hudson’s are simply drying up in any condition and opposing Hudson collectors are competing against each other.
Jeff Perkins / Mn
BJM, Right now I can purchase a ‘52 HH, low miles pristine original for 19K. I am considering but will allow some time to pass as I want to be sure it is the car I want to live with long term. Not for sale to the public. Peter S
This is a good-looking driver in one of the rarer body styles . A good restored 4 DR Hornet is $20K+.. There are numerous stepdown convertibles that are presentable drivers with grooming required on the market in the low-to-mid $20's. So $15-17K for this car isn't bad if the description is accurate. B Jake Moran
I always like and respect counterpoint. It appears I am incorrect on my Hudson market knowledge. Hudsons are great cars. What strikes me as curious is that this Hudson is essentially a 6 Cylinder non hardtop car in a year when V8s, hardtop sand automatics were king. The engine is modified with Clifford high compression aluminum head and exhaust headers. Most likely rebuilt? It's a coupe in the last year of " Real" Hudsons. The color is one of the better options that year. I think it's a $20K car unless it has serious undisclosed problems. The seat can be repaired easily. My Wife drove a 54 Hornet as a daily driver in the 70's. It was a " Dealer Demo" with power steering and brakes. We owned 13 Hudsons through the years , The 49 Commodore being the best road car. JamesR
Very cool! I used to think '54's were a bit of a visual comedown from the previous years. Now I actually like them better than the 51-3 and as much as the 48-50. One advantage: they DON'T look like Doc Hudson.
B Jake Moran
Hudson did the best they could updating essentially the same body. 54 Hudson’s are nice looking cars.

Lots of room for spending on interior repair and paint touch up , if you can do it yourself. Way more fun then a used Toyata
