Willie turned me on to Bob Drake Ford Reproductions for the material. I don't recall why I chose the thicker one, perhaps I wasn't paying attention or didn't realize there were two options, but based on my experience the thinner would have been a little easier to work with (cutting it) and as you pointed out for tucking it in, though I doubt 1/32 makes THAT much difference in the grand scheme of things. Apologies for the delayed response I was traveling and wanted to come home and see what I actually bought.
