Centurion
We all enjoy hearing tales of long-forgotten Buicks hidden away in old barns. Recently, one of our '59 Buick contacts found just such a Buick, and, after a long process with countless twists-and-turns, he was able to recover a 1959 Buick Electra 225 convertible from the barn where it has sat untouched for more than 35 years. His photos document last week's removal of the Buick from its longtime resting place:B59 Norma Jean Breakout pictures by OneWhoWaits_2009 - PhotobucketEnjoy! JZRIV
Nice pics. I like the shots of the barn and house from a distance. Stuff dreams are made of.Thanks for posting

serb
It looks like a great find. It needs work but it sure looks solid. Dirt is easy to clean. Congratulations to the finder and the new owner.
Pete Phillips
The scenery and fall colors look like northern New York, Ontario, or northern Maine. I could not read the name or state on the tow truck, but what a nice find!Pete Phillips
stealthbob
I recognize the scenery...the warm and wet summer we had sure made for quite a canvas of colour this year! Seeing that "Angry Eyebrow" Buick emerge from the barn in those colours was nice. The mud flaps on the truck indicate Columbia, Pennsylvania
Larry Schramm
Are there blue seat belts in the rear seats? It looks exactly like the car my Dad had. Nice find.
Thriller
Cool. My poor eyes couldn't make out what was written on the dirty windshield other than 2010. Anyone?
Rich Morton
Couldn't make out what the windshield says but the phone number on the truck is for Dan's Classics located in Honesdale, Pennsylvania. That is located Northeast of Scranton.Even more amazing is the condition of the car being that it was in a barn in such poor condition and having to weather the seasons.AWESOME find!!! Thanks for sharing.Rich;)
Dandy Dave
They're out there..... One would never guess that such a nice car would be in a barn of such a run down place. The steel roof on the barn is what saved it. If it was shingled, it would have been leaking a long time ago. Very cool find, good luck with it. Dandy Dave! Reatta Man
Gonna share this on my personal Facebook page; might generate some more interest in the BCA.As for the car, WOW! The 'war stories' about this car shared when it is restored and shown at car shows will almost be as awesome as the car.

Centurion
Brian, thanks for shareing. Awsom find. Can hardly wait for "the rest of the story".The rest of the story is pretty strange. The car's original owner, a dairy farmer, lived alone in the house that is shown in the photo. No one has lived on the property since the death more than 35 years ago. Other than the fellow who recently stumbled upon the Buick and worked through the red tape required to retrieve it, the only person who was aware of the car's existence was evidently an elderly nephew, now deceased, who lived in another state. Dandy Dave
Could the car be.....haunted?Stephen King on line one.......Maybe the dent's and bent bumper will fix themselves on Holloween eve. It may even come back to life and drive around the yard a few times.... Without a driver!.. If it is gone on November first, I would go look back in the Barn.... Dandy Dave!
