1940 V16 Cadillac, not mine.
George Smolinski replied to Xander Wildeisen's topic in "Not Mine" Automobiles For Sale
So, would it be sacrilegious to swap a good running 16 from a frumpy sedan into one of the more desirable models? And are they at all interchangeable from year to year and body style to body style? -

If I bought one of these and the engine was bad, I don't think I'd want to pay $75-85,000 to rebuild the engine. -

There better be for $25K. Maybe some of it is gold plated. -
Not accusing anyone here, but if this car were to come up for sale, I would think a potential buyer would want to know about the accident, extent of damage and the repair process. Not saying anything seems rather shady. On the not showing photos of the wreck, can someone please explain why it's ok to take and post multiple photos of a car at a show, cruise, etc. but not ok to post a photo of one that's been in an accident?

There are groups on FB that offer a lot of help and advice. I’m on a couple and have been helped out through them. Is the SPID (it’s a big paper label with options listed) still on the inside of the glovebox?
