  1. We all do it, but probably shouldn't. This thread seems to have evolved into the good evil of FB. As the original poster of this car, I'm not real pleased. Just FYI: Forum Guidelines Follow the forum rules. Post in the appropriate forum. Write complete topic titles. (no clickbait) Include year, make & model when appl. Follow individual forum guidelines. Stay on the topic of the post. Always be on the lookout for scammers. Remember the golden rule.
  2. Marketplace - 1933 Packard v12 dual cowl sport phaeton · Model 1005 | Facebook I searched this forum & didn't find this one posted. I would think someone here must know this car. Driven 1,000 miles Manual transmission Exterior color: Burgundy · Interior color: Fuel type: Gasoline This vehicle is paid off Clean title Restored 1st Place Grand National AACA. Fantastic car to drive and admire.
  3. The vehicle is a 1994 Dodge conversion van. I will be happy to pay you for your travel & time.
  4. How about listing 1 or more of your current cars too? I'll start with Woodbury, MN. I have 0 vehicles right now. Sold my '66 Impala, 500hp 454, T400, 12 bolt 3:73 posi about 3 years ago. Just sold my '69 C10 CST, total restoration. Now looking at a '37 Chev 2 door sedan and a 1971 Corvette, 350, 4 speed, original owner.
  5. I'm glad somebody agrees with me here every once in a while.😁
  6. Agreed, but the outrageous buyer's premium may affect the bidding. If that's the case, the owner/seller gets screwed, and the only one coming out well on the transaction is the auction house - typical.
  7. I looked at all the photos of these two, but not the Buick that’s listed separately. These appear to be in pretty nice condition and the auction estimates are very reasonable in my opinion as compared to FB listings. The buyers premium is outrageous. 23% for non-internet bidders and 28% for internet bidders.
  8. 1956 Oldsmobile Starfire for sale by owner - Grosse Pointe, MI - craigslist This is the only photo posted. If you want to talk about these cars, send your cell and I'll call you. I won't respond to inquiries simply asking if it is available. Descriptions and prices below. Thanks. John 1955 Chevy Truck, Great Patina, Built 350, Muncie 4-spd, chassis restored, new brakes+dual master, new tires, new shocks, aluminum radiator, painless harness, custom GMC dash, upgraded bench seat, and more. This was a California truck that found its way to New Mexico. We brought it to Michigan two years ago. New windshield and back glass installed. Custom dual exhaust with glass packs. $20,000 1957 Buick Special. This is a California car that sat in a barn for 30+ years until 2018. Still has its CA black plate in front! Very little corrosion and near-perfect floors and trunk. Newer, fresh 401 Nailhead looks stock under the hood and is plenty fast. Car runs and drives great. Large custom aluminum radiator keeps everything cool. Interior partially redone, brakes completed, newer tires. Upgraded to a new alternator, 4-barrel carb, dual glass packs. $25,000 1956 Oldsmobile 98 Starfire (Convertible). Black car, black top, red leather. Shows great, including engine compartment. Always properly maintained and driven, but the odometer and speedometer stopped working and there is a flaw on the rear bumper chrome. Radials, hidden stereo, newer 4-barrel carb, new heavy-duty battery. $47,500 1964 Volvo 1800S (P1800), titled as a '65. These early cars with the buckhorn front bumpers are getting fairly scarce. I had this car running and driving during summer of 2021 (see video), but it has been in storage (indoors) ever since. It will need some attention, including a new battery. Also, carbs were rebuilt but need to be synchronized. Interior out of later car needs finishing (I have most pieces). Super solid body and floors with older repair to rockers. New brakes, shocks, exhaust, fuel pump, air cleaners, and more. $17.5K firm 1929 Cadillac Convertible Coupe. This is a fabulous, mostly original car. Runs and drives great (I can send you a video with sound). It is a very large car with a 140" wheelbase. Interesting build sheet from fall of '28, dual rear spares, newer top done professionally. No keys (toggle switch installed), electric fuel pump, new proper battery, and more. $50,000 1941 Chrysler Royal 3-Window Coupe. Fluid Drive. Super solid (but not perfect) body and doors. Floors and trunk do have surface corrosion. Interior mostly redone. Runs great, but transmission will need attention (it does drive). Brakes redone recently, including master cylinder. New gas tank, sender, and straps. $15K firm
  9. The storage is the woods where he has the rest of his crap/scrap metal “stored”. An exciting project…………………..NOT!

  11. It would probably draw a crowd because of the color along with a bunch of “experts” saying it’s not original.

  14. So, would it be sacrilegious to swap a good running 16 from a frumpy sedan into one of the more desirable models? And are they at all interchangeable from year to year and body style to body style?
  15. If I bought one of these and the engine was bad, I don't think I'd want to pay $75-85,000 to rebuild the engine.
  16. If you owned a V16 car and the engine was bad, can a period correct V8 be swapped?
