  1. Yep. Just epoxy a nut or a "D" nut in the hole.
  2. The grease fitting should be on the bottom of the Universal Joint Outer collar. Just loosen the bolts and turn the upper section around so the grease fitting is in its rightful place on the bottom to be of service.
  3. Raul, the V-12 you are taking about was the engine used in the big Model L Lincoln's mainly from the early 30's not in the same league as the Zephyrs. Doubt you could shoe horn one of those engines into our model H Lincoln Zeffers...
  4. FYI... The 1936 thru 1940 Lincoln chassis parts catalog includes the 1938 Lincoln Zephyr chassis parts for your car. Check with Earle Brown for a copy. Very helpful for interchange parts.
  5. The 1940 Lincoln Chassis pars catalog shows that the 38 Zephyrs used the Ford 81A-3686A part for the lock cylinder. Also the key was Ford part # B-3685. Yep.
  6. Bill, suggest you contact Ray Theriault who also is well known in K Lincoln and L Lincoln circles. Contact him by email at raytheriault@cox.net. Hope he can help.
  7. Ok Mike, in the mail tomorrow.
  8. Ron, sending you a chart listing the info you want.
  9. Will look this weekend. How bad are your present skirts?
  10. Scott, sent you a PM yesterday. Did you get it?
  11. Scott, have what you need. Still away from home. Will get with you next week. John
  12. Excellent "helpful hint" for the Zephyrs out there with a missing center loom cover. Good job.
  13. Talk to Earle Brown about that...he will give you the information you need. Call in evenings.
  14. Keith is a dedicated talented individual who is interested in proviiding a needed service to the LZOC club members who needed those services. Too bad there aren't more members who could use their talents to help the club. Any talented...possibly a retired club member who might put their talents to needed club needs? Warren Rice of Michigan used to revulcanize the rubber motor mounts, tranny mounts and frame insulators. Now is no longer able to provide this servce. Any club member able to provice this needed service? Any club member have an unfilled need? A needed rubber part? Can't find a needed Metal part? ??? We have new club members have newly discovered needs for their "barn finds." Can we help them? Any comments???
  15. The "washer" you are talking about on the tip of the oil float is a threaded disc. I have seen them in red and aluminum. My 40's and 47 Lincoln's are red.
  16. It's just a drain valve. Keep it closed. If there was a plug there on the original fuel pump you could remove it and trade the valve with the old plug. Removes a possible fire hazard.
  17. Push button exterior door openers were an option on 1941 Lincoln Zephyr's.
  18. Try Ray Thierault of the Lincoln Owners Club. Email at raythierault@coxnet.
  19. Joe, suggest you talk to Earle Brown about that. He's our mechanical guru. Call him in the evenings.
  20. The fenders just bolt on. Good luck on getting the frozen bolts loose from the cage nuts. Spray them with WD-40 a few days before you start. Your hood ornament also unscrews from the hood. Same spray to loosen the screws. Take your time so you don't snap the heads off the fender bolts. You will become well acquainted with WD-40 in the future. And skinned knuckles...
  21. Yep. No glass filter bowl on the fuel pump till 1942. Your car uses the Ford 68-9350 fuel pump
