  1. Engine rebuild already far behind schedule....need Mains in .020 ASAP, please dig deep, the "usual suspects" struck out. Thanks for looking or any leads appreciated.
  2. Doubtful Packard nothwithstanding certain similarities. Suspect ZiS110, particularly considering location.
  3. Joe - maybe....lemme see what the condition is - please be sure to include a closeup, or confirm that the splines in the hub are crisp. flackmaster at sbcglobal point net DAF
  4. ...and that happened when someone chained the car to a trailer or pulled it or whatever....seen it many times.
  5. Hey Steve - long time, no hear. AAV-26, 10-40, rebuilt, still in plastic. Flackmaster at sbcglobal point net No magic genie required, just a checkbook...
  6. what year and model are you working on?
  7. I can supply NOS purolator PER 1/2 filter cans, fittings top and bottom - have sold the car I kept them for. I've occasionally seen them with both fitting on one end or 2 top and 1 bottom for adaptation to preference. Net purpose is the same, filter capacity 1/2 quart of oil...
  8. Wow...Delahaye overload. And I definitely see some affordable cars, not just the flamboyant show princesses. And in the "just shoot me now" category was the Delahaye at the RM Hershey auction - any explanation as to the selling price on that one? Seemed like a steal to me? Thank you for the links.
  9. Yes please. I am particularly interested in a late 30's to postwar car. Any condition, although my budget limits me to a car requiring restoration. Thank you.
  10. I am one year into contracting Delahaye Fever. It seems the only cure is to own one, therefore I am in the market for a project Delahaye, if there are any still out there. I am willing to start with anything - burned, rusted, rolled, or otherwise given up for dead, late pre-war or postwar, i.e. 135 chassis. Thank you.

  12. Tom - I have a IGH4026 dual point Packard distributor. I would be willing to trade it for your services on some other distributors I have...
  13. I've always said I'll be at Hershey, dead or alive. I guess I'm not the only one to have this commitment.
  14. That would make the transport so much better not to worry about the windshield. Chambersburg, PA...that would be easy for me too...up 81all the way to Syracuse...you need this car - your wife said buy it!
  15. Not nearly as nice as NE Ohio....DesMoines puts me quite far off route, and all the way across I-90 with an empty trailer bouncing behind me. I really don't think I could make DesMoines work, sorry. One question for anyone - does the top portion of the windshield fold down? Not sure I like the thought of 65mph for a long trip on that windshield....
  16. I am traveling from Dallas to Upstate NY on the 20th or 21st of this month....if you can cross your fingers for good weather, I am headed north with my open car hauler. PM sent. David Flack 214 in Dallas 373 seventy-one fifty five.
  17. I want the horizontal Packard PARTS - ACCESSORIES lighted Walker sign from the late 30's. I am willing to pay a fair price, any condition. Would also consider just the framework with no glass.
  18. I seem to recall there being a vendor/service that arranges/coordinates shipments from the Field to European Destinations? I need to ship a front and rear seat (front seat frame and springs, rear seat back and bottom springs) to Paris, France. Anybody have contact details or dealings with this service? Thanks!
  19. And if you determine that you need a solenoid or relay, new ones are available right here in Dallas....I have a NOS R6 solenoid which I believe is the same as the one on your trans, as well as a HR4201 relay. PM me at your need. Also, as suggested above, being certain the innards of the overdrive unit is clean is vital to proper function - the overdrive section is notorious for getting gunked up - and you do NOT want to shred that planetary assembly. Incidentally, I saw your car at the Cooper show, nice.
  20. I can supply a complete rack setup for a 36-120, unless your car is a 992, in which case I do not have a set of extended bumper braces at present - you could have yours modified if necessary. You are welcome to contact me directly, flackmaster at sbcglobal point net as I rarely check for private messages.
  21. pickup in Utica, NY is available....
  22. can supply 41-110 engine, no problem. flackmaster at sbcglobal dot net
  23. the T handle is similar to the 1940 decklid, but the eschution is different.
  24. Correct. Its just not "cooperating" with your cautious, gentle, respectful approach. Not a matter of proving who's boss, but its gotta come out...usually a couple raps with the rubber hammer will unseat the gasket.
