  1. The next group of cars from my dear friend Louis' collection are now listed on-line. I know most of these cars first-hand, so I may be able to fill in few blanks from the limited pictures and descriptions. Please circulate the auction info to anyone you think may be interested in these cars, there really are some good ones... link is https://www.collarcityauctionsonline.c ... let/List.do?auctionId=754

  4. Mornin' John - fun memories, no doubt. While it may have been titled as a 1936 due to calendar year when originally sold, the photo'd car is a 1937. No harm, no foul. If you have the serial number of the car, 1089-???? that would help confirm who has it now. Should you not find the current owner of the car, I specialize in this year/model and would be interested to know what you have available for purchase. Thank you.
  5. anybody got a spare wheel I can buy? Thank you, my direct email is flackmaster at sbcglobal point net for faster reply. thankyou.
  6. Firstly, thank you to all who have expressed interest and advice. I get that there is a next owner for this car -excellent. Couple things, - First, I was unaware that the car had already been moved to "the other building", which simply means it is not within the priority to vacate the building where it was. Nevertheless, this car is going to be sold soon. I probably won't have pictures for another two weeks. Thank you for your patience. As to the big question, price, let's be honest...Ed posted a very very similar car, unrestored, brought up to running driving condition selling at 20K. Even with the best of mechanics and a bit of luck, its gonna need a new set of tires, brake, fuel and electrical work. I'm not putting a price out there yet, I need to see it for myself so I can represent it from more than memory (I haven't seen it in 2 years and even then I wasn't paying much attention). but I'd welcome comments from those in the know ...12-14K??
  7. I believe Bruce Blevins can make per blueprint as he did for a friend of mine with a 1508 club sedan. You are correct, the portion of the 120 hinge that is on the body is slightly different curvature.
  8. Ed - I think you probably have seen this car, not sure when, but the owner and I always stop by the PA tent at Hershey. I do not speak Pierce, nor do I know the secret PA Society handshake Of course I recognize the limited market for unrestored money pit projects - I only hope the next owner gets it to the point of the original car you sold, "they're only original once." I'd like to pick your brain on his other Pierce's and parts -if you are willing, please PM me your phone number and when would it be convenient to call. Thank you. Al - I have always found the separate headlights to make this Pierce that little bit more special. I would guess there would be a pair of 29-30 fenders out there if one really wanted to make it more "Pierce". I know both of you are well networked, so I ask you to work any magic you can to help find a new owner, thank you. As soon as I can get some pictures, I will post. Thank you, David Flack.
  9. Coming to market (yes, as soon as I can get some pictures) is a 29 or 30 Coupe. Location - Utica, NY. The most interesting feature is that is has the "New York City" headlights, independently mounted as opposed to the characteristic fender mounted lights. The car is in a dark warehouse, sardined in with several other cars. Condition is 100% complete, still has black paint, solid unrestored indoor stored for years. Engine said to be free and run a few years ago. I am posting now to at least make contact with potentially interested parties to narrow down what differentiating issues must I determine to clarify and determine a fair price. This car will be sold in the next few months as the storage building must be vacated. Timing/Logistics in getting the car out dictate needing to line up a buyer promptly. Thank you.
  10. I agree and understand, but honestly I don't know how to move them off my phone.... my direct email is my user name at sbcglobal dot net and I can reply directly to any interested person with the few photos I have. The car is in storage, kinda sardined in with a bunch of other cars...
  11. 110 convertible coupe along with a 120 sedan. Both cars themselves are restorable, but we both know you're gonna switch the convertible body to the 120, and sell the sedan body on the 110 chassis to a resto-rodder. Whatever works for you, maybe 10K for the pair? Location Utica, NY, bring a big trailer and a winch.
  12. The 47 Limo was a really nice driver until a large branch fell onto the top of the hood. Replacement hood included. Black, of course, with black leather front, and beautiful broadcloth rear. Honestly, I've been too busy to get it fixed and as a result the car has been sitting in the warehouse for too long, needs a thorough cleaning and the usual attention to fuel/brakes/etc to resurrect from storage. The 53 Coupe was also a decent driving car when I bought it. I intended it as a donor car to a basket case 53 Eldorado I had, which has since sold. The Eldo buyer passed on the Coupe, so its time for it to go. "Back of the warehouse stored" for more than 10 years, so its not pretty. Certainly restorable, or a great donor car for your Eldo project.... Prices? I'm thinking $7500 on the 47 limo and $5000 on the 53 Coupe? That seems fair - but I am certainly willing to discuss. Location, Utica, NY 13501. Bring a Trailer, with a winch please. I've got a couple cellphone pictures I can forward to anyone interested. Thank you.
  13. I have what was a really nice 65 Valiant Convertible, golden bronze wth black interior, black top. Slant 6, automatic. Sweet fun car until I hit a nasty nasty pothole and something broke in the left front suspension. I've been too busy to get it fixed and as a result the car has been sitting for too long. NOT driveable the way it is. "Bring a Trailer" I've got a couple cellphone pictures I can forward to anyone interested. Location Utica, NY, 13501, price? $4000 ??

  16. Wheel is sold. Leaving this post on case it helps someone ID wheels.
  17. 1929 Lincoln uses a very similar gauge, albeit oval. Maybe 30 or 31...I am no Lincoln expert, but a clue to run with...
  18. I strongly objected to the new requirement. I considered turning my back on selling via Ebay. Does it do any good? Probably not...Ebay has changed our world, and we are forced to change along with it.
  19. correct as to helping friends in NZ. Will forward your info to them, with thanks.
  20. very good, will advise. Any comments on availability? Is there anybody who could make a new set....yeah, I know, cringing at the thought of the price, but these are family cars that will remain roadworthy for future generations. OK, clarification as follows - and Ed, thank you for the referral to Dayton, I will followup to get some sense of budgetary pricing while prayers for good original wheels are submitted to the powers that be. Aussie John - these are NZ cars, so it certainly would be of interest to learn more about your Queensland wheel project. First the USA built 1929 Studebaker President sedan. It’s on 19” wheels. It has five studs and these are visible outside once the hubcap is on. 60 spokes. Hubcap opening is 5”. These are more urgently needed. See photo. The second car is a 1931 USA built Studebaker President (Four Seasons Roadster). It’s also on 19” wheels. It has 6 studs and these are covered when the hubcaps are on. 40 spokes. Hubcap opening 8 ½” or possibly 8 5/8”. See photo

  22. 31 President, and 29 with 5 bolts. More details forthcoming, asking for a non-computer user....but I thought I'd start asking...thank you!
