  1. Jp, I do not know on the judging. We are still looking for some more commercial vehicles. If anyone has an old truck that they would like to have considered, please contact me. For the Eyes on Design show we are also looking for a Corvair Rampside pick up that was built in Flint. Any leads? Thanks Larry
  2. The fire dept that I was on had a driving test before you could drive an engine or a truck. You might talk to you local fire dept to see if they have what I think is somewhat a standard driving test to do what you are asking to do.
  3. Just in my opinion, the first thing that I would confirm is that the front end alignment. Not unusual to have a worn out part along with the alignment off. I would then keep the tire pressure at the maximum suggested pressure. Just my humble opinion and what I do.
  4. Working on cleaning the garage so I can get the truck back to work on it. Getting close.
  5. Use my Silverado to tow our trucks, cars, and everything else around. Love my trucks(s).
  6. Neat to see the "first drive". How exciting!
  7. It takes a while to shuttle the mail up the peninsula from the major east - west routes.
  8. I like this suggestion. Reminds me of dumping top engine cleaner down the carb years ago to get the build up off the valves, etc. Great smoke screen.
  9. Good news. Just got my Bugle in the mail today. Sat down and voted and will put the ballot in the mail tomorrow.
  10. Those windshield washer pumps were pretty much the same from about 1960+- to the late 70's or early 80's. About the only difference was the angle of the ports for the hoses. I would get one and try the size. If the washer fluid is only coming out a little, it is probably the valve plate with the rubber valves being bad. I remember when these were so common simple fix that in the 70's that you could buy them at the check outs of the drug stores.
  11. These two shows are my benchmark for a good well run show.
  12. If this "farmer" as I have been called by Dandy Dave Brennen is concerned about the 400 point vehicle parked next to my truck....I do not think so. I might learn something and I am sure we have more in common than the owner of a 90 Roadmaster parking next to me.
  13. Look what I found. http://www.thebreeze.co.nz/Shows/Christchurch/Drive.aspx By the way, great picture
