The fire dept that I was on had a driving test before you could drive an engine or a truck. You might talk to you local fire dept to see if they have what I think is somewhat a standard driving test to do what you are asking to do.

Just in my opinion, the first thing that I would confirm is that the front end alignment. Not unusual to have a worn out part along with the alignment off. I would then keep the tire pressure at the maximum suggested pressure. Just my humble opinion and what I do.

I like this suggestion. Reminds me of dumping top engine cleaner down the carb years ago to get the build up off the valves, etc. Great smoke screen.

Those windshield washer pumps were pretty much the same from about 1960+- to the late 70's or early 80's. About the only difference was the angle of the ports for the hoses. I would get one and try the size. If the washer fluid is only coming out a little, it is probably the valve plate with the rubber valves being bad. I remember when these were so common simple fix that in the 70's that you could buy them at the check outs of the drug stores.

These two shows are my benchmark for a good well run show.
