  1. Marty, I will let you know tomorrow. I am heading out to checkout some tomorrow. You can call me on the road after 9:00 am and we can talk., Thanks Larry
  2. 1929 Series 40 Model 47 four door sedan on the 121" wheelbase. Could you post some pictures of what you have, it would be interesting to see what you have. Also, welcome to the forum.
  3. I told some others that I know about using leather and they laughed. Us that have this era cars & trucks know better.
  4. Looked at the car some time ago with NCReatta and the price is in the mid $30K's.
  5. Merry Christmas to everyone, but OK, what year and model is the car in the picture?
  6. That is a first time I have seen those wheels on a T. Neat look.
  7. That is provided the person behind is not texting or on the phone and not paying attention. Also agree with DD when driving my truck. I drive it VERY DEFENSIVELY. I believe that you can not drive the old cars with enough caution for the idiots on the road. I live near a school and can not believe the number of persons that pass in the no passing zone & speed in the school zone along with other areas.
  8. Yup, here are a couple of pictures of the #4 rod & journal. And a picture of the trucks winter home.
  9. With the truck that you have, you could purchase/ build a fairly close replica of a truck body. I have seen some reproduction truck/ depot hack bodies for sale at Hershey. Might use something like this, http://www.macsautoparts.com/ford_model_t/model-t-ford-wood-bed-conversion-kit-roadster-accessory.html
  10. There are a number of us including Shadetree / Robert
  11. If the area around the rocker arms, etc. is not fully caked with greasy gunk, then the car was probably taken care of fairly well. See Mark's comment above.
  12. Like many of us, I have looked at a lot of "trucks" that started out as cars and were repurposed during the war for farm use and more gas during rationing. Many were done decades ago.
  13. I remember being at the NY Worlds Fair. The Uniroyal Ferris Wheel was moved to a location along I-94 by Detroit Metro Airport. http://fornology.blogspot.com/2014/09/allen-parks-uniroyal-giant-tire-heralds.html
  14. Talked to him yesterday. It is TOO COLD in New York until spring. He does that work in the fresh air.
  15. Thanks for the suggestions. Appreciate the information.
  16. Would it make sense to have a pre-war section and a post war section like the Buick area?
  17. Just filled up the truck at $1.929/gallon yesterday in Buick's old hometown of Flint.
  18. Interesting engine. Do not know the make, but could it be a stationary engine because of the governor?
  19. Merry Christmas to the Roth family from the Schramms !!
  20. Does anyone know of anyone doing babbitt work in the Detroit area? I need a rod redone. Thanks
  21. And as GM broke into the 80's, the car people were out and the finance crowd was running the show. AKA Roger B. Smith.
  22. I am installing a fuel cut off solenoid on my truck so when the ignition is turned off the fuel is shut off. I got the solenoid from one of the Model T suppliers, I think Lang's.
