  1. Did that car get restored? More importantly, did the owner or driver make it?
  2. I'm looking at this immediately after looking at the listing for the '33 Chevy for $6200. This is a much rarer car and there's no way the Chevy would look as good as this after a 20 K restoration. And yeah...those Studebaker doors. Awesome.
  3. You can't restore it for double what they are asking. I'm knees deep in mine and already have the asking price of this car in my car. And mine looks like this right now.
  4. I just had the wheels of my '13 Ford done by Stutzman. It was about a 5 week turnaround. They are true perfection.
  5. I find it interesting also that Olds was not carried forward as the premier brand at GM instead of Cadillac, particularly when one looks at the Autocrat and Limited models of the brass era. Maybe that's just me.
  6. I want to complete the mechanical restoration of my '13 T and tour more over the summer.
  7. I received my copy. Just as with issues 1-4 it is exceptionally high quality and is well worth the investment of time and money. I have thoroughly enjoyed what I have read of it it. I tend to be a cover-to-cover reader and have not been disappointed thus far. To me the real trick of a car magazine is to pique my interest in a car that would otherwise generate a "meh" reaction from me. Crankshaft does this very well. I encourage you all to give it a try.
  8. My god...and here is another highly desirable car. I want them all!
  9. I find this yet another incredibly appealing car for six good reasons, it's unusual, it's a convertible, 1st gear, 2nd gear, 3rd gear, 4th gear!
  10. I want it. Nope...I don't have the 235k but to me this is worth every penny. I'd have a permanent grin smeared on my face driving it. Best buy the PowerBall tickets!
  11. All the best to Steve and all in the AACA family who may be facing a surgical or other intervention. We're with you!
  12. To have done a restoration on this car, to this level, someone must have really loved it. You couldn't do the chrome and upholstery for the asking price.
  13. Yes Neil, on all of my other Nashes the starter has been hot all the time. So it is very possible that your memory is 100% accurate.
  14. I like this one a lot. To me this seems like a really good buy on a car I'd use as a daily driver 8 months of the.
  15. I probably mentioned this somewhere before, but I understand there was someone in the LA Duesenberg dealership who was partial to that yellow over green color scheme. Evidently J-111 was also painted a similar color combination when new. Wisely, when the Gilmore Car Museum restored the car they elected to change the colors to blue. I doubt anyone would argue it was an improvement.
  16. Actually, in the world of psychology those of us with a Ph.D. are indeed referred to as "Dr." both professionally and socially. After more years of college and an exceptionally rigorous postdoctoral internship in comparison to a medical doctor, a dentist or a nuclear physicist, I think we've earned it. On the contrary, most of my casual acquaintances are surprised that I have a doctorate as I prefer to be called simply "Eric." Now...back to cars.
  17. My first car was this 1947 Nash 600 sedan. My parents bought it for $200 and it was used (used up) until I finished college in 1989. It was already considered an old car, indeed an antique car at the time. Great topic by the way.
  18. I agree. I was all over that centerdoor at Greenfield Village and in the meantime he did a Ford TT truck that won big the next year. He and I have a good understanding of how I want the car to end up and I am confident we can get there. I'm telling you, IIam already thrilled with the amount of progress he made.
  19. Here are the latest photos from Don Booth's shop. He's already really torn into it.
  20. Looks like someone bought it. May the Force be with them!
  21. For an early '26 T open car, black. Looks like a lot of car for the money.
