  1. When you park it just be certain you have the parking brake engaged. I'll give you one guess how I know this!
  2. This is definitely a multimedia kit with die-cast metal, brass colored plated plastic pieces, sort of cream colored plastic (which I painted) clear plastic, and rubber tires. The kit supplied tires are white rubber but mine were so rotten I had to replace them with some black O-rings. I actually like the look of it better sitting on the black tires given that it'sa commercial chassis. Thanks for the compliment!
  3. The first model I've finished in a couple years is finally complete. It is the Hubley/Gabriel 1912 Model T C-cab delivery. I started this one 15-20 years ago. I'm embarrassed to say I was maybe 3 hours worth of work from wrapping it up. While hardly a perfect model, it looks decent.
  4. Very close, 1913 car built in October 1912 with a 2010 driver.
  5. My daughter and I took a ride in the county Saturday. She even got to drive a bit in the high school parking lot.
  6. Man, those headlamps are huge! Anyone know, are the Solars? I can't afford the car but certainly can see the appeal to this one.
  7. The paint on this one seems a little tired but man, that interior is a beauty. This would be a fabulous driver once sorted out. As for the advice on drilling the rivets out od the transmission support, that seems like a smart plan. I'm glad the car is a long way away.
  8. I appreciate all the photos. I have to live vicariously through those of you who can attend.
  9. I couldn't get there (never have) but wondering if anyone made it there this year? Any pics?
  10. I like the car (I would as I'm in the middle of restoring a '27 Fordor as we speak) but I think the price of this is about double what it should be. If it was the best in the world this would be within reason but with a scruffy engine compartment and ratty old interior, no.
  11. Something tells me that the car is already on the list for the right restorer. I can't wait to see the final product, though had I been the buyer I would leave it alone and just drive the wheels off it.
  12. While I would want the t Trippe lights gone, I really like the car. I think his price may be optimistic but you can't hurt anything by making an offer.
  13. I too will be interested to see the selling price of this car. While it seems like a shame to have another "me too" restoration as this car is truly unique as it is. I guess that's up to whomever has the deepest pockets.
  14. I have always liked the 70s Lincolns. They are magnificent road cars, especially on the highway.
  15. Pretty car but it's too bad that the skirts and continental kit are there. To my eye both detract from the look. That said, in a weekend between fixing the scratch, a good wash, wax and buffing, and getting rid of the skirts and continental kit, you would really have a looker.
  16. These ARE fun cars to buzz around in. I have owned three '26-7 Model T Tourings (only have one at the moment) and they are pretty wonderful. The only real downside is there is not a lot of room in the front seat. This looks like a good car for the money.
  17. I appreciate the offer but I do have some. Your models look awesome!
  18. I now have a rolling chassis. Next, the engine needs to go in. The detail shot of the rear axle gives an idea of the work being done.
  19. What I want to know is how he managed the time travel from here to 8/1/2024. Lets ask him about lottery numbers. Joking aside, I too like this car a lot. I think it would be worth saving as is.
  20. Nothing better for dinner than grilled cylinder head.
