  1. This is far from new of course, but still is a ripoff to the 99% legit sellers. Why I am no longer a seller- only a few cars a year. Not worth my time to list 9.99 items to be taxed out the A--!
  2. Nice looking car and spot on pricing! good luck with your sale.
  3. might want to take the measurements on the hood and have Rootlieb make it- out in Cali.
  4. Wayne, looks identical to my 22 chevy baby grand as well........... as to value- not much.

  7. All wonderful Bill, except for your last paragraph................... bottom line, dumb decisions by our gov. wish I had the same opportunity at my vocation, but most of us dont. same as school teachers, but no point going there. the math just doesnt work.......................................................................... so we all pay for bad decisions.
  8. brother has a 53 Zwitter- yes parts are unobtainium.
  9. CALI IS A RELATIVELY EASY STATE- CHIPS COMES OUT AND THEN YOU GO AND TITLE AT DMV. OR, IF YOURE SMARTER, YOU HAND 70. TO AAA AND THEY DO ALL YOUR PAPERWORK.

  11. ebay also now takes a percentage on shipping- which should be illegal...........................
  12. all good advice Randy. I owned a 1930 model 58 with the 6 cylinder engine. finest car I ever owned. The 6's do have a problem with the block leaking back by the firewall and hopefully that isnt true with the 8's. 6 is good for a solid 50 mph and the 8 should easily carry you to 60mph. even though it has been mentioned- check the WOOD thoroughly! the reason I sold mine, the wood started getting dry rot in the trunk area. didnt want to deal with wood. so I WOOD go through the car thoroughly concerning that. these cars are amazing and I would buy another in a heart beat! YOU WONT BE DISAPPOINTED!!!!!!!!!!!!!! YES DOOR PANELS ARE INCORRECT. SEATS LOOK FINE. NO HORNS OUT FRONT...............
  13. so I go to remove the old gas tank today and every bolt is rusted out solid. Took the grinder under the tank and yes, there is a tiny bit of seepage where the ends rusted through, but that wasnt the problem. smelled some wood burning and looked up and the rear corner post was smoldering! could see a couple of embers up on the inside of the post and yes, it smelled like a campfire. quick run into the house for some water and tough to douse out, because it was burning from inside the center of the post, where it had rotted out. didnt see that coming............. whole underside is full of scale and need to wear goggles everytime I get under there. Good news is the metal isnt as bad as I thought, but the wood is worse. going to use a local timber mill for the wood and they have a staff of three that can rough cut everything for me. I have most of the patterns.
  14. What colors would Idaho have? a huish potato skin shade.............. called earth.
  15. "I think this one has Matt's name on it. " If left out in the sunlight long enough, it could become pink!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
  16. Honestly dad’s car wasn’t in nearly as nice of condition of the others. It was an honor to be in the same group as them. somebody has become a "pro" in no time at all! Next you'll be judging at Scottsdale!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
  17. Wayne, many states still dont require an inspection- such as NJ. As long as that occurs, anything can be titled. Many that do require an inspection, only require it to register and not to get titled.
  18. Harold, good point. Just had a 2 day priority envelope take 12 days, coming in the opposite direction that you mention. The package languished for almost a week out in Cali. In the meantime, I have recd letters from Cali to NJ in just 3 days. The whole system is a mess and in the meantime, we are losing billions each qtr running the USPS. Amzn has had huge benefits from using USPS in the past and those days are coming to a close.
  19. Nebraska is the most difficult state in the nation, bar none. If you dont have an in state title, you must have an inspection. If the motor has been replaced in your vehicle, NE will not issue a title. They are completely unyielding to a fault.
  20. concerning the igniters- make new ones- problem solved.
  21. best to use J and M in Mass prob can ship with Fastenal inexpensively. J and M are one of the best.
  22. Frank, you are talking about a couple hundred thousand. When you look up millions, it can reach to 40%. Then dont forget the state income tax, so I wish it was as low as you are implying, but I guess neither of us will ever know in the long runnyway. and yes, I would just keep the car.
