They have been used up here in northern Ontario since they first became available. I put them on my vehicles including my work truck. The jury is still out on whether they work or not but I'm inclined to think that they are a gimmick which may on occasion alert an animal but wouldn't depend on it. Being a game warden meant driving around a lot at night in areas of high deer and moose populations. In 30 odd years I only hit one deer in fact it ran into the side of the truck! I mount a driving light so that it is aimed to the right shoulder of the road and it has been great for spotting animals and pedestrians wearing dark clothes. Up here moose are a bigger threat because they are black and very large. In this Saturdays paper was a story about a car which struck and killed a bear weighing about 500lbs. The bear was killed but it totalled the new Buick. The best defense is to slow down at night and watch the shoulders of the road especailly around dawn and dusk.

I hit a deer one morning in a TR6 back when I was youngster (1975), I was lucky it went into the raditor and not through the windshield Joe

Otherwise I would of could of easily missed it driving by it. But having been there once, I will be back next year AACA name or not. I want thanks all the people that put their heart and souls in production an outstnading exihibtion in the AACA Natioanl Museum near Hershey. Joe

 19. Thanks for posting those results, It actually nice to see what cars sell for than one has seen first hand while at Hershey. The 53 Packard Caribbean was of interest to me.
 20. I arrive in Dulles airport from Saudi Arabia about 2:30 PM Tuesday and drove to Carlisle to meet my friends Virgil and Dafenne. I took a back road into Carlise and had to call the Motel 6 three times for direction from town. Virgil and Dafenne, my roomates, showed up before me with purchases they made on the fields on Tuesday. A mint 1919 BF Goodrich Tire cardboard sign with "we won the war sign" accross the bottom. Wednesday we took both cars and split up, I did mostly white field all day. I stop by Joel Rays Patrician Industries Booth, They invite in for a burger which end up costing over $400 by the time I left. But the hood latch and closenese was mint. Walk white most of the day then hit Red on my way back to the car with my goodies. We left one car with Virgils Lynn Steele Signe on the van overnight and took for out for a dinner of Strombollies. Thursday repeated the same thing, starting with Red and working into the Chocolate Annex in the morning, then the chocolate field for remainder of day. I spend a couple hours with Potomac Packard, JP and Caroline in the late afternoon. Walked the car corral Friday morning in the rain and then we load the parts for packing and started looking for boxes and went to UPS for the balance of the day. On Saturday drove to fields and then decided to go to the AACA Museum. That was great, I am figure on doing it every year I there now. Then I got totally lost getting back to Dulles for the return to Saudi Arabia. But I did see a lot of western Penn. on the way back. I was hoping for the fall colors, but this global warming is delaying to after Hershey now. Joe
 21. Wayne, Yes, that is the Gasoline station I want to put in my shop/show room one day. Those are great Wayne 60 pumps and the vintage is perfect for my 1942 cars. Joe
 22. Wayne Here how we did shipping this year We talked to the manager at Sam's club and he was nice enough to give us used 52 inch TV box, cardboard and loose packageing at Sam's Club. We found a corner under Sam's awning away from the entrance and boxed right there in the rain. Then we drop everything at UPS station in Hershey, it across the street from McDonalds up on the hill just after you under the bridge. There were other there package parts up atUPS too. They have a dolly you can use to bring your boxes in too. I did have a last minute responce to my ad in the AACA forum from hauler going back to Washington State, but I did NOT (my Fault) go online the entire week at Hershey so I missed that connection,. It turned out, I drove right my his space on the way to mine in the Red field everyday and walk by it at least a dozen times. The AC trunk unit was 105 pounds after packaging. We ship 6 boxes between Virgil and me. We stay in Carlise and here is another shipping option as there a huge trucking company on the Highway near there. I also saw a lot of JB Hunt trucks, they deliver to the west coast. I am pretty sure I could easily ship motor freight too, should I bought an engine, just strap it to a platte. One friend of mine in the Packard Club shipps by AM Track train, as they will strap it to a pillets for you too. Joe
 23. I work in the Middle East. This was my first Hershey in 6 years. Boy did I have a good time. I bought a few hard to find Packard Parts for my 42 limo too. It was brilliant for two days then it rained. So we boxed everyytning and shipped home everything out on Friday, and Saturday i made my first visit to AACA Museum. The Museum was unbelievable. i must of shot a 100 pictures. I really like the Atlanic Oil Filling Station it exactly what i want when i final get to do a showroom for myself. I was supprized at the price of signs, they went up while car are flat on prices. As I say, the Museum is a perfect way to spend a rainy day. Thanks to all my old friend for taking me in and feeding during the meet.
