  3. West When i worked in the motorcycle shop a long time ago, we use to drill a hole in the side od a shocks and weld (braze) a nut to the side then put in heavier oil. It seem to me the main issue is cleaning and replacing the oil, so, if one can figure out how to pump the oil out them you should be able to push it back end, try a heavier wieght to overcome the seal leakage. i thinking of drill and tap on the casing some where, maybe even two places.   4. Last time the packard moved under it own power was 1994.
  5. AS i recall some of them were three piees and some were 4 with a big transformer under the passenger seat. the face plate on the steering column are interchangeable. Is the key lock in the center?
  6. THey come up on Ebay regularly, Also Joel at patriacain Industries has several in Swap meet stock. And I think John Urich San Francisco (check his add in PAC) has cast reproduction unplated available.

  8. Looks like $135 a night now during hershey week. I remeber my first few hershey we stayed in the top floor of house accross the street from the old blue field for $10 a night, army bunk style, and Jaine pickup us up at the airport, so car rental either. 1989-1993

  10. Title says it all, I still looking for 40-42 packard mechanical refrigeration compressor. I gotten almost all the other pieces to install it on the 42 Limo. It a industrial unit Perhapss someone can give the manufacturer name. It might enterchange with a large refrigerator from 30-40. thanks Joe

  12. Yes right hand drive shows in the parts book, also they used 12 volt electric on the export models early on.

  15. Good Luck with you new find, me I got a couple of 42 180 taking my time, but i would love to have teenage Packard one day. I got a line on a early Alvis (it English roadster)
  16. If it like the 41-42 check out the floor of the trunk below the lights, water get in this area when the trunk lid seal go bad. It repair able, similarly check out the driver floor board from below. It a great car good luck with it, and get a driver and enjoy for a few year before starting a restoration project.

  21. Have thought about trying to find a modern paper element to put inside of it. That would be a lot easier then you replace off the shelf.
