  1. You answered the question before I had a chance to ask it: Where were the pictures stolen from. Sometimes this can be discovered simply by "right click" on the picture, then choose the option in the pop-up window "search google for image." Then you may see the exact same image among a bunch of images, but it will be from another website besides eBay or Craigslist, and likely a much more reputable antique car dealer.
  2. I bet he considers where the inquiry is coming from, then locates the vehicle a few thousand miles from there so as not to allow for in-person visits.
  3. No deposit required when purchasing this one. Just full payment by cashiers check within 3 days. Payment details - Full Payment Payment method Preferred / Accepted Money order/Cashiers check Accepted Full payment is required within 3 days of auction close
  4. Could be one of those deals where the seller will take a deposit, then you never hear another word from them. I got scammed out of $200. The seller had positive feedback. I made a purchase and sent the "postal money order" as the auction required back then. eBay no longer allows that as a sole payment option. But anyway, even though the seller had positive feedback, I later found he had 5 pending disputes for failure to deliver paid for items. The other buyers had not been able to leave negative feedback while their disputes were being looked into. I should have, but didn't, know about those pending disputes. So, it was a good seller, who decided to go rogue, rip off a bunch of people all at once, then disappear. I had bid on a touring bicycle, a vintage Trek, and lost out on it. eBay then recommended to me to buy this other "similar" bike with a "buy now" on it. Which i did and there's where I got scammed. So eBay recommended me to buy the bike from this other fellow when they knew he had several pending disputes against him.
  5. This is the kit 1989. No model # on knife https://forums.aaca.org/topic/87798-tc-toolkit/
  6. Several of my neighbors have metal buildings. I think they look really out of place in a residential area. You have tall, new metal buildings next to older, relatively small wood frame homes. The metal buildings usually dwarf the house. Some of them have high roll-up doors so you could drive an RV into it. My home has redwood ship-lap siding. I wouldn't mind having a metal roof on the detached garage though.
  7. He's talking about the building behind the fence.
  8. Oh, yeah. It's on the radiator, but blurry, I didn't notice it.
  9. The likely situation here is someone bought a house from an estate with lots of junk left behind. Either heirs did not want to clear out the house, or there were no heirs. So the house sold junk and all. This old car is just part of the junk like the scrap wood and the red plastic milk crate. It needs to be cleared out. It might be interesting to know who the original owner was.
  10. Sounds like getting into a situation where you needed to use reverse was your mistake.
  11. The OP or someone should buy it for $500, which is $400 or $500 more than a scrap yard would pay for a junk car that needs to be hauled off. Then figure it out after getting it home.
  12. Well it's an automatic, we know that much. transmission: automatic
  13. Saw this on CL, thought it was worth sharing. Not mine and no affiliation with seller. Paul 530) 651-4545 http://sfbay.craigslist.org/eby/cto/d/rescue-1929-dodge-brothers-da-six/6778246288.html This 1929 Dodge Brothers DA Six has been collecting dust in my garage for three years so it's time to find a it a new home. Many boxes of spare parts and original wood wheels and tires included. The body is in excellent condition and virtually rust-free. The interior is original and could use new upholstery, padding, headliner, etc. Registered through May 2019. The fuel level gauge does not work and the rear brake cylinders probably need to be rebuilt or replaced.
  14. What type of siding is that? You probably mentioned it and I missed it.
  15. Yes, after I saw it was a reserve auction, that's what I figured would happen: no sale. They were auctioning furniture and nick-nacks and this vehicle. Thanks for the update. Maybe "Fossoyeur" above would be interested in the owners contact information; I don't know.
  16. Sans Plumb 85, that is what I ask the attendant for whenever i pull into a full service station.
  17. As far as I can tell it is a scam!!! Car was scheduled to arrive on the 23rd I contacted them on the 22nd to verify and they changed the date to the 26th. When I try to contact them today via email it says address does not exist and when I try to go to website I get some message that looks to be Arabic Oh wow, that looks like some Russian language. Sorry that happened to you. The 66 Charger on their site was on another site in a different state. Same exact photos and description and they asked me to pay a $2k deposit with GIFT CARDS (?!?!?) What??!! Anyway I hope you get some resolve to the situation. Ill keep searching through a LEGIT site. Thanks for your feedback. On this other thread people are talking about getting ripped off for a deposit, and being told they do not take credit cards, only gift cards!
