  1. Is this original or a repro? It sold by canamericanantiques for $157.50 The usual top deal from customer focused seller. Thanks b***o ( 2214) During past month antique 1930 GRAHAM MOTOR CAR automobile badge emblem (#202613766064) US $157.50
  2. The words air and bag are two nouns. When you put them together as "air bag" the first noun is a modifier to the second noun, giving you a bag that is meant to hold air; or worse you could possibly interpret that as a bag that is made out of air. If you want to describe this thing we know as the pillow created by explosive gasses; that would need it's own unique word, so "airbag" works well for that.
  3. Well test it out and measure the torque then.
  4. http://www.ebay.com/itm/1-1-4-16-NC-Bottom-Tap-8-Flute-GH12-HSS-TRW/133005894824? http://www.ebay.com/itm/1-1-4-16-NS-Tap-6-Flute-HSS-Norman/143191517504? These two are both priced at $28.95 and by the same seller. But you better verify they are correct. This seems like the type of seller who can make mistakes in descriptions.
  5. http://www.ebay.com/itm/1-1-4-16-HSS-Taper-Hand-Tap/262052746728? 1-1/4 - 16 HSS Hand Tap I would buy one of those nuts at Mcmaster-Carr that are 1 1/4 - 12 and run this tap through to alter the threads.
  6. I looked for taps and did not find any. Not 1.25-16. There were others, but not that. I'd like to see the link to the tap. i do see 1.25-7 and 1.25-12 and 1.25-18
  7. I have hauled non-running junk cars without registration using a tow dolly, such that the rear wheels would be riding on the road. That includes the Alfa Romeo in my "avatar." I have been told it is not legal here in California but did it anyway. I was not stopped, but if I were would have plead ignorance. Completely off the ground on a trailer; no problem. It is a good question you pose though. It is not beyond the realm of possibilities that they would even want a car on a trailer registered.
  8. I don't think a tap with that thread is made now. UNF (fine) is 1 1/4"-12 for 12 thread per inch (TPI) UNEF (extra fine) is 1.25" - 18, not 16 TPI
  9. They had a lot of pre-orders, with deposits, for the Model 3. So once they were being produced they could go straight to the buyers. So this is a transitory period. After that pent-up demand, and the "back orders" filled, things will need to even out. I don't think there will be that many new Tesla customers coming into the market once this initial surge is over. http://ir.tesla.com/news-releases/news-release-details/tesla-q1-2019-vehicle-production-deliveries Tesla Q1 2019 Vehicle Production & Deliveries PALO ALTO, Calif., April 03, 2019 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- In the first quarter, we produced approximately 77,100 total vehicles, consisting of 62,950 Model 3 and 14,150 Model S and X. Deliveries were approximately 63,000 vehicles, which was 110% more than the same quarter last year, but 31% less than last quarter. This included approximately 50,900 Model 3 and 12,100 Model S and X. Due to a massive increase in deliveries in Europe and China, which at times exceeded 5x that of prior peak delivery levels, and many challenges encountered for the first time, we had only delivered half of the entire quarter’s numbers by March 21, ten days before end of quarter. This caused a large number of vehicle deliveries to shift to the second quarter. At the end of the first quarter, approximately 10,600 vehicles were in transit to customers globally. Because of the lower than expected delivery volumes and several pricing adjustments, we expect Q1 net income to be negatively impacted. Even so, we ended the quarter with sufficient cash on hand. In North America, Model 3 was yet again the best-selling mid-sized premium sedan, selling 60% more units than the runner up. Inventory of Model 3 vehicles in North America remains exceptionally low, reaching about two weeks of supply at the end of Q1, compared to the industry average of 2-3 months. Despite pull forward of demand from Q1 2019 into Q4 2018 due to the step down in the federal tax credit, US orders for Model 3 vehicles significantly outpaced what we were able to deliver in Q1. We reaffirm our prior guidance of 360,000 to 400,000 vehicle deliveries in 2019. Given that Tesla vehicle production currently occurs entirely from one factory in the San Francisco Bay Area, but must be delivered to customers all around the world, production could be significantly higher than deliveries, as it was this quarter, when production exceeded deliveries by 22%. We’ve just begun the global expansion of Model 3, and we want to thank our employees for their hard work and our customers for supporting our mission. We are doing everything we can to deliver cars globally as quickly as possible and look forward to continuing to scale deliveries throughout the year. *************** Our net income and cash flow results will be announced along with the rest of our financial performance when we announce Q1 earnings. Our delivery count should be viewed as slightly conservative, as we only count a car as delivered if it is transferred to the customer and all paperwork is correct. We count a produced but undelivered vehicle to be in transit if the related customer has placed an order or paid the full purchase price for such vehicle. Final numbers could vary by up to 0.5%. Tesla vehicle deliveries represent only one measure of the company’s financial performance and should not be relied on as an indicator of quarterly financial results, which depend on a variety of factors, including the cost of sales, foreign exchange movements and mix of directly leased vehicles.
  10. Hello Kitty moped/motorcycle helmet.
  11. It should be easy to find a 9/16-18 stud. Then if you could get a tall "cap nut" or "cup nut" to put on it, maybe glue it on with red locktite. They call these "cup nuts" apparently - Here is a 9/16-18 one - http://haywardsupply.com/products/mm_0304c6?

  15. I see a lot of Teslas on the road. Few Nissan Leafs (Leaves?) now; they seem to have fallen out of favor, after at first being the most common electric vehicle. It's impressive what Tesla has been able to accomplish. It still looks like they will ultimately fail though They are selling a premium product, with a high mark-up, profit margin, like Apple with their IPhone. Yet still struggle trying to turn a profit. All the major manufacturers are looking to take business away from them. Their balance sheet and income (profit/loss) can be seen easily here at these Yahoo links. https://finance.yahoo.com/quote/TSLA/balance-sheet?p=TSLA https://finance.yahoo.com/quote/TSLA/financials?p=TSLA Edit: Actually they have shown a profit the last two quarters.

  19. Someone in my neighborhood has a Studebaker pickup. It's a big one though, a long bed. Never seen one like that before until I saw it driving around the neighborhood.
  20. 1929 Studebaker President I have the feeling you are talking about more recent models. But there are many Studebaker's. Do you have a year range in mind, or even a particular model?
