I had a dentist put a ratcheting device in my mouth to hold it open. To do a filling in a wisdom tooth, hard to get at unless the mouth was held very wide open. I heard it ratcheting when she installed it, tighter and tighter as it opened my mouth more. She broke a different tooth while using it, so there was an additional repair needed. So yes to hold a horses mouth open, I could see that being the case.

I'm now going to get "Classic Car" insurance with Hagerty, which is what this article was based on: requests for insurance quotes and valuations on "Classics." I was only alerted to this option through this forum. It's a much better value, more coverage, and a different type of coverage, than if I were to add it to my regular insurance. I am surprised that you can just declare the value. Hagerty obviously must recognize it won't be driven much. My regular insurance would let me specify 1,000 miles per year use minimum, but based on their pricing they seem to figure i would still be driving it every day and likely to get in a collision.

I had found in the distant past that FedEx was cheaper than USPS Parcel Post, and so I even opened an account with FedEx which made it even cheaper. And FedEx (Ground) was cheaper than UPS. Also FedEx included tracking and insurance, which at the time would have cost more with Parcel Post. That was before the time of these "Flat Rate" boxes. Apparently things have changed now, but I'm going to ship something FedEx soon and see how it works out. You never know what FedEx will be until you take it in, it gets measured, weighed, and the destination put into the computer. And yes delivery to residences costs more than delivery to business addresses.
