No-one really cares. Just curious who will finally wind up with the assets. Looks like SMS. But Eckler must see some value in it, or has some motivation. Eckler apparently is not just a competing bidder, but a creditor/bidder so they may be owed something by LeBaron Bonney. I think one thing that has been said is that if SMS gets the assets they will try to sell the fabric at very high prices. Looks like it is going to SMS, but it is being held up as of right now.

It's still being disputed. Ecler is a creditor. They objected to the order to sell to SMS. Trustee wanted to finalize the sale to SMS. There needs to be another hearing. 59 12/18/2019 Notice of Appearance and Request for Notice by Daniel C. Cohn with certificate of service filed by Creditor Eckler Industries Inc. 60 12/18/2019 Order dated 12/18/2019 Re: [53] Emergency Motion filed by Trustee Joseph G. Today, Sunday, I have received 5 identical robo calls before 1 PM. They all say the same thing, goofy computer voice says, "Hi, this is Lisa from Apple Support. There has been a security breach of your cloud storage account...." I also have been getting: "This is Microsoft, your account has been suspended..." "This is Social Security and we are taking enforcement action against your social security number...." "This is the IRS and we are going to put you in jail...." And all the credit card ones, "This is Niclole with card services. Congratulations!..."

Just watched a PBS show yesterday that said more jobs were being lost to automation than to outsourcing overseas. And it will get worse as automation increases. Actually the show was called AI, artificial intelligence. Seemed more about automation. AI has the potential to increase automation I suppose. You can certainly have automation without AI. Or you can incorporate AI into automation, or use AI to develop more efficient automation..... https://www.pbs.org/video/age-ai-preview-m24tzj/ "Increased productivity through automation." “I believe about 50 percent of jobs will be somewhat or extremely threatened by AI in the next 15 years or so,” says Kai-Fu Lee, who has written a book called AI Superpowers. He fears that the rise of AI will contribute to another alarming trend: the growing inequality in earnings. “AI will exacerbate that and I think it will tear the society apart,” Kai-Fu Lee warns, “because the rich will have just too much, and those who are have-nots will have perhaps very little way of digging themselves out of the hole.” -

mike6024 replied to Mark in SA's topic in General Discussion
Yes maybe a dimple. Drill it out. Take it apart. Put back together with a set screw in place of the dimple. Not necessarily easy. Looks awkward to get at. But something along those lines might work. -

Isn't there a hole shown in this picture that looks like it could have a set screw in it? I'm sure it doesn't, but that's what it looks like anyway. -

I am impressed, both with the car and the price. Dual-clutch Transmission. I suppose one place they save money compared to a Ferrari is the engine. "High performance small block" according to the Leno video. Not all-aluminum dual overhead cam. -

I really enjoyed it, and was surprised by the ending. I have the September 1966 Car and Driver magazine. It has a good write-up on that Le Mans; 10 pages if you count the pictures and everything. It also has Ken Miles as test driver for the Sunbeam Alpine, Fiat 1500, Triumph TR4, MGB and Alfa Duetto. Funny he would be doing something so mundane after that Le Mans.
