  1. Timing is way off, or the carb mixture is way too rich. Timing off is much more likely. Timing is probably retarded, meaning it needs to be advanced. Get a timing light and check it yourself, don't take it back to the shop.
  2. Ratings and Reviews for Worldwide Investment Cars Review: Car Dealership Service 6 years ago GUARENTEED TO HAVE SOLD MY LINCOLN WITHIN 30 DAYS, THAT WAS DECEMBER 2011, THIS MAKES OVER 1 1/2 YEARS WHEN IT WAS TO HAVE BEEN SOLD WITHIN 30 DAYS, WAS QUOTED SEVERAL TIMES "KISS IT GOOD BYE", THE KEY WORD HERE IS GUARENTEED SINCE NOVEMBER 2011 MANY/MANY PHONE CALLS AND Emails, AND HAVE BEEN TOLD MANY BUYERS SHOWING INTERESTS AND JUST WAIT, "I GUARENTEE IT WILL SELL" Review: Car Dealership Service 6 years ago Car sales website that is global. He Guarnetees in one month that car is going to be sold. He kept just telling me why the car did not sell. He had the car priced too high. After 18 months is has not been sold. He found my phone number in another source and he called me. He has a very bad attitude. He has called me names and accused me of inappropriate things when I was just checking on why the car has not been sold.
  3. This is what the real Maseratis look like, V-6 Twin Turbo chargers, Dual overhead cam. rear wheel drive.
  4. I think they were all turbo charged, and the TC Turbo Cabriolet OR Touring Coupe OR Touring Convertible They are front wheel drive. First they came with a turbo 4 cylinder, then a turbo V-6. They were very expensive when new, like $68 to $70,000. Now you can't give them away. I think they had real leather interiors.
  5. way too rich or leaking carb diaphrams. are these new carbs? or rebuilt with all new seals, etc? I don't think I understand your question very well. I am only familiar with sidedraft weber or dellorto anyway.
  6. Someone recently tried to sell one for $500 and had no takers.
  7. You are completely correct, it should be 98.6% The 22.69% must be the percentage of total votes cast; like say I may have checked 3 of the boxes, so I voted 3 times, but only once for the first box. So only 1/3rd of my votes went toward "Repair and Maintenance of Antique Automobiles."
  8. Bodies are buried in Idaho, but no-one is digging them up. Police are not willing to recognize the reality.
  9. Here is the link to your original post. Dewhurst was the proprietor of the Blue Grass Cycle Shop on Main Street, east of Limestone. He designed the Dewabout “by following to a certain extent the pictures of machines of various kinds published by newspaper and magazines.” He also was an inventor – with patented designs for a rural mailbox and golf ball-making machine. On June 12, 1901, the completed Dewabout made a short test drive along Cheapside and out East Main Street. The test drive was done at four in the morning to have the streets clear of horses. The motor did not have a muffler and was very loud. Soon after, the Dewabout made a trip to Georgetown and back. In 1902, the Dewhurst was under construction with a six horsepower, muffled engine. The Dewabout was sold to Frank P. Scearce in 1902 and the Dewhurst to Joseph S. Botts later the same year. Dewabout Motor Car
  10. My Toyota door handle broke. I replaced it and also lubed the mechanism with Triflo. It works much easier now. The stress from not being lubed probably caused more stress on my door handle, helping it to break. Lube this stuff is a good idea. Less likely to fail.
  11. Here's more pics of the Riley. Looks good. Not selling. Go look at it. Maybe make an offer and bring it home. It appears the seller was telling the truth when he said the engine was missing.
  12. Yes, or a 1962 Buick 215 aluminum V-8. My brother bought one new, a Black '62 Skylark 2-door, red interior, with 4-speed on the floor, with the aluminum V-8. Not this, but like it.
  13. An MG 1800 or British Motors or whatever they call it would be another option. More "appropriate" but not as good. The original Riley engines were DOHC I see, and there were 1.5 liter 4's and 2.5 liter 6's.
  14. You should use a bmw I4 (or I6) and a 5 speed manual. Buy a rusty or dented parts car, pull the drivetrain and scrap the rest. I am thinking 1983 or earlier and replace the fuel injection with carb(s). You should need to fabricate custom motor mounts, and a transmission support cross member. Hopefully the oil pan will not need to be modified. I am referring to the Riley.
  15. I've been around there doing surveying. Stayed a week in Red Bluff, surveyed a PG&E gas main west somewhat along hwy 36 till it got to Fortuna, and stayed there several days too. I liked Fortuna. Then Eureka, then Klamath Falls Oregon. down to Tulelake Calif, Burney, then south through the hills to Anderson. Burney is fly fishing paradise. My Aunt and Uncle lived in Corning.
  16. the rear disk on an alfa has a drum inside it for the parking brake
  17. The 90, 80 and the 10 are flipped. I'm not so sure the 0 is flipped though.
  18. is that near Burney? I've been to Burney and seen the falls.
  19. putting a '72 engine into my '67 alfa dropped the value significantly supposedly. after i die and it's sold we will learn the precise damage.
