  1. Bob, you will be happy to know that I am bringing Nikki, my Australian Cattle Dog to Kalamazoo. She is looking forward to licking you!
  2. Bronze mist is a gorgeous color.......I would go with that.
  3. I'm bringing my 65 Riviera to the ROA meet in Kalamazoo. Who else is going and what are you bringing for us to ogle at?
  4. The balancer is junk.......your crank is fine......get another balancer and torque it properly. The balancer cracked because it wasn't torqued properly.
  5. What you need is to buy a RediRad adaptor for your radio. It installs in twenty minutes and gives you bluetooth capability on both AM and AM-FM radios. No modifications to the radio itself are necessary.
  6. On my 1995 Corvette, GM designed the electric cooling fans to come on at 227 degrees if the A/C is turned off. The fans run with the A/C on because the condenser for the A/C has to have constant air flow.
  7. 203 to 208 is NOT HOT!!!!!!!!!!!!!! If your car had an idiot light it would come on at 240. Drive your car and quit staring at the temp guage....it is fine.
  8. Leave the drip rails on!!!!!!!!!!!!! No need to remove them in order to [paint the car......just mask them off!!!!!!!!!! My car was painted this way and the roof looks beautiful 48 years later.
  9. In five years I have never had any brown spots with my Venezia tires.
  10. I recommend what I'm running on my car.......Venezia Classic 787 whitewalls in 225-75-15. They drive like a dream, the whitewalls stay nice and white, they don't rub, they have very subtle lettering unlike the billboard letters on the Hankooks, and they are very inexpensive, at 107.99 each. You can buy them on the internet and you'll receive them very quickly right to your door. Here's a pic of my car with these tires installed........
  11. The original green paint was lightly scuffed with sandpaper and covered with fresh green lacquer.......there was no need to sand off the old green finish.
  12. Agreed......richen up the choke by loosening the screws on thechoke thrmostat and tightening it up a little.
  13. My Dad bought a new Arctic White 65 Riviera in 1964. When the car came in, you could see the primer through the white paint in certain areas. The paint on it was so thin that if you so much as touched it with any kind of polish, you went through the paint to the primer. These cars were extremely well manufactured other than the paint jobs were pitifully bad.
  14. It had one repaint in lacquer 48 years ago........still looks very nice mainly because there was no bodywork needed, the original paint was just too thin. the repaint was right over the original paint with no primer so the paint film on the repaint is very thin, resulting in it holding up extremely well, that plus the car has not been wet since 1967!
  15. All 63-65 Rivieras came with front and rear bucket seats and automatic shifter in the console.
  16. Ed, no need to do that......Alma products makes brand new correct appearing A6 compressors that last for decades.......I have them on all my old cars....they look the same on the outside but have modern internals that are very reliable year after year. One of the dealers who sells their products is listed in the Riview.
  17. Wayne, I'm curious about the blue and silver sticker on the evaporator case in the photo........my very original engine compartment doesn't have this sticker and I don't believe my Dad's new 65 had it either. Is this something that you or someone else added?
  18. That's a beauty! Thanks for posting the pics.
  19. Ed I got mine last Wednesday
  20. I believe it would still have a sticker and the name of the dealer who ordered it would be on it. By law all cars have to have the sticker when they are built. When you take factory delivery on new Corvettes they have the window sticker on them, and the name of the dealer who ordered it.
