  1. No, I first went to the site and put the swedish word skrot in the searchbox on the top of the page http://bildarkiv.kamerareportage.se/fotoweb/Grid.fwx
  2. Where belongs photos taken in neutral Sweden during WWII? Found a junkyard view from 1943 on Kamerareportage*s site. Many of the cars ar not that old. Notice the gasgenerator on the small van. http://bildarkiv.kamerareportage.se/fotoweb/Preview.fwx?position=9&archiveType=ImageFolder&sorting=ModifiedTimeAsc&search=skrot&fileId=A5CBD948DC33DEFCB958D15A9B1860B82F3C6E5A7650582ADEFD7DCD5B5DBC33BF05A508DB124E8CAA514E87407AF38820F41CA805891B1313BA76476E6A57F565910AEEF6324191463A846F8B24225AAE914CF49138CE2A14598E568348388B0F5D00AD3063E95CA561A94E3B93C57F802840B5681AEFC0#.Wilh6VVl_IU Same place, radiators:a quite early Mercedes-Benz, International, Chevrolet, Ford Model A... http://bildarkiv.kamerareportage.se/fotoweb/Preview.fwx?position=28&archiveType=ImageFolder&sorting=ModifiedTimeAsc&search=(IPTC025 contains(Skrot))&fileId=A5CBD948DC33DEFCB958D15A9B1860B82F3C6E5A7650582ADEFD7DCD5B5DBC33BF05A508DB124E8CF36E0213D652E7CF20F41CA805891B13C5EA156FF18F0F85379D4FAF87B794ECA2EF8EBD4FBA2769F27CFD27A5D455DB05332A7C5BB2C6E681F4E2838E21C7F9B7612CFC8FA7B4938437E1C1BF5A5E33#.WiljzFVl_IU Another place in 1960, Citroën Traction Avant, Mercedes-Benz 170V:http://bildarkiv.kamerareportage.se/fotoweb/Preview.fwx?position=25&archiveType=ImageFolder&sorting=ModifiedTimeAsc&search=bilskrot&fileId=A5CBD948DC33DEFCB958D15A9B1860B82F3C6E5A7650582ADEFD7DCD5B5DBC33BF05A508DB124E8C8F7D384A22AE976420F41CA805891B13D555069108C556D4379D4FAF87B794ECA2EF8EBD4FBA2769F27CFD27A5D455DB05332A7C5BB2C6E681F4E2838E21C7F9B7612CFC8FA7B4938437E1C1BF5A5E33#.WilkdFVl_IU Finally twenty years later from the two first pictures, among the Fiat 600 and Volvo's a Borgward Isabella of pre-1959 model
  3. Browsing on the net I found the site bildarkiv.kamerareportage.se Searched for car related photos, mainly from the pre-1930 days. The most intriguing was the remains of a landaulette photographed in July 1927 in Gothenburg. http://bildarkiv.kamerareportage.se/fotoweb/Preview.fwx?position=21&archiveType=ImageFolder&sorting=ModifiedTimeAsc&search=skrot&fileId=A5CBD948DC33DEFCB958D15A9B1860B82F3C6E5A7650582ADEFD7DCD5B5DBC33BF05A508DB124E8CE9653849AC9DE3C020F41CA805891B13A2E1449C2E71971165910AEEF6324191463A846F8B24225AAE914CF49138CE2A14598E568348388B0F5D00AD3063E95CA561A94E3B93C57F802840B5681AEFC0#.Wilf0VVl_IU
  4. Third photo, second from left 1938 Willys Sedan, fourth 1940 Chevrolet Coupé, fifth 1939 Plymouth Sedan, seventh 1938 Chevrolet Coupé. Fifth photo, the cars in the middle are 1933-34 Deluxe Model 40 Fords, at left a Fordor and the more battered car at right a Tudor
  5. The British small Sedans, Second photo 1937 Vauxhall Light Six, Seventh photo 1954-56 MG Magnette ZA, Eight photo 1950> Morris Minor, 18th photo 1939 Morris Eight Series E
  6. Something like a Model 68, 201.9 vid straight right devoloping 72 hp. Wheelbase as short as 114"
  7. Well, the only old car I ever has owned is an early sit-up and beg British small Ford, the least desirable Body style-four door Prefect. But if I had an early Model A, especially if rarer version, it would surelly bee a She; as at least almost every small 30s European car. Even a big but sporty open Mercedes-Benz or Horch from the Third Reich would I give a feminine nickname. As almost every Italian Car Up to the 70s. Very personal opinion.
  8. The Gilmore Auto Museum's Speedster (sic!) is thus equipped. How on Earth can a 1930 four-door convertible be called a speedster? Yes, it is the Series 147 that I mentioned above
  9. The Coupe is a 1926. The other closed one behind it also from the end of the production run, 1926-27.
  10. The 1/2-litre one-cylinder 1924-29 2/10 PS "Kommisbrot" was made in hugh numbers, and as I previously has mentioned the much latter 1,3 litre was the inspiration for Volvo's postwar small car with unitary construction.
  11. Behind the close coupled sedan with dual sidemounts a 1926-27 Ford Model T Coupe, and behind it a Ford Model T Tudor (bodystyle introduced in 1924) of the about same vintage. Then a 1930-(1931) Closed Ford, probably a Fordor, and a 1930 Ford Delivery van. Then a GM product, 1927 Chevrolet, behind an unknown and then a pre-1926 Model T In front 1924-28 Buick Sedan. Behind it a 1929 Chevrolet Coupe and a 1930 Buick Coupe blocking the way, in the lower right corner
  12. 1959-61 Panhard PL 17, all Steel opposite earlier aluminium bodied Dyna's. 2-Cylinder boxer with 850 cubikcentimeters drivning front wheels
  13. About 1954 Ihle Schottenring, made in West-Germany. I think the factory built Sporting versions of DKW and BMW Dixi etc before WWII
  14. Coils springs at rear-Isabella had rear swing-axle but so did Mercedes-Benz 170 etc. I think first widely used in Hans Ledwinka's 1923 Tatra 11. "Die schnelle Bremerin" was produced between 1954 and 1962. More than a half of the production was exported-to countries with a high standard of living as USA, Swizerland and Sweden. But because of beeing a small independent European manufacturer they couldn't afford any major restyling . http://www.classicandsportscar.com/guides/classic-cars-a-to-z/borgward-isabellaisabella-ts
  15. Same problem with KRIT as with Auburn, windshield straight at bortom where meeting the cowl
  16. When dating the car I took in consideration the fire in the original Detroit Olds Factory in March 1901, only the prototype of the Curved Dash was saved.
  17. The patented Renault radiator worked under the thermosyphon principle. There is both the air draft from and the suctions from the ventilator on the flywheel. A pipeline connects the ventilator with the radiator. The engine is thus completely isolated from road dust. Introduced in 1903 as Austrian Allgemeine Automobil-Zeitung presented it as a novelty: http://anno.onb.ac.at/cgi-content/anno?aid=aaz&datum=19030913&seite=23&zoom=33 Before that a pair of smaller radiators on the side of the bonnet as on the 14hp that the same magazine told about some months earlier http://anno.onb.ac.at/cgi-content/anno?aid=aaz&datum=19030503&seite=25&zoom=33 Update:I think it is this patent publicated and granted 24.6.1903: https://patents.google.com/patent/FR327497A/en?inventor=Louis+Renault&before=19040101
  18. 1946-50, only 64 were made: http://www.classicandsportscar.com/guides/classic-cars-a-to-z/healey-24-litre-westland-roadster
  19. Shouldn't it have wire-wheels if it is from the 1901-02 period? 1903 Curved Dash came with both types of wheels.
  20. Probably based on the 1940-53 Series Z. The 5cwt Series Z is one of my favourites, design way ahead of Ford and Austin of the same vintage.
  21. As I understand they enjoy a certain popularity among street rodders, even in California...
  22. Definitely not an Essex by Hudson Motor Co. Seabrook RMC was the name under wich the Detroit-built Regal was marketed in England, to avoid confusion with a similar-named French car.
