  1. Well, the woodie is maybe the most sought after today, or the 1937 (or 1938 Standard) Ford Convertible behind it? The wide bolt-pattern is such giveaway. Two other Fords from roughly the same period as the previous. Packard sedan at the far left.
  2. 1939 Ford Tudor Deluxe second car on the left side. Ford Model A Standard Coupe first car in the right row, one of the oldest in this scene
  3. 1905-10 was the production period for Barrel-hood according to Franklin Club's site. But in this case I think that 1910 is ruled out, as the same soucre states fine mesh hood altought this very same picture is captioned as a 1910 Model K [sic!] elsewhere: http://momentcar.com/franklin/1910/franklin-model-k/ Again H. H. Franklin Club's guide to identification states that the barrel hood models are Series G, D and H.
  4. Definetely the top of the line six-cylinder 40 CV
  5. Three-lamp Cowley, cheaper model than the Oxford. Also narrower tyres and simpler windshield. Made from 1920 onwards. At least Lagonda also produced a three-lamp version in the early 1920s. http://morrisregister.co.uk/2026cowley/
  6. 1929 Hudson, very few mass-produced cars had suicide front doors so early
  7. It's instead a Stoewer of the same vintage, made in Stettin. After WWII the Polski-Fiat was made in the same factory. The emblem on the wheel cover:
  8. Must be in Summer of 1936 when the Swedish State police bought 18 Cariocas http://www.dn.se/ekonomi/bortglomd-volvo-fyller-80-ar/
  9. I have also been looking on Austin. But it must be a bit earlier than 1930 as it has wooden spokes.
  10. BTW, Svensk Motortidning begann in October 1924 it's article of closed cars with a big reproduction of this very photo with Gloria Swanson without any information on the make not to mention that the production then was already discontinuated
  11. It has a color scheme a la Ettore's own Coupe Napoleon, but I don't think it's a Bugatti at al. Could be something American from the late 30s with it's painted radiator shell
  12. Tempo Matador, they were VW Beetle engined and predated the 1950 Transporter. Wolfsburg finally stopped supplying engines to the competitor, but Matador lived on with a British Austin engine instead http://www.oldbug.com/tempo.htm
  13. 1909 Rolls-Royce 40/50 "Silver Ghost"
  14. 1958-64, " Old-fashioned family saloon with high ground clearance" according to Classic & Sportscars: http://www.classicandsportscar.com/guides/classic-cars-a-to-z/moskvich-407
  15. The British manufacturers exported a lot in those days to the rest of Europe, especially to countries without own motorindusty to speak of. LHD versions were offered of course. Here in Finland the almost only Western cars easily obtainable in the early 50s were British
  16. No, and no Opel Rekord. But what about Hillman Minx Audax Series 1956>
  17. Not totally impossible that it's a Pullman. In 1924 Svensk Motortidning there was a reader's letter about the marque, production had ended several years ago. But there was a Swedish connection that the editor of SMT omitted to tell. Wasn't the shortlived SAF from Bollnäs technically a Pullman? At least in the beginning whole cars were imported. http://www.bjorns-story.se/private/Svenska mindre biltillverkare/imgmindre_biltillverkare/SAF-bilen/Dokument om SAF.pdf
  18. Licence plate indicates that it was registered in the Finish capital Helsinki. In the working class districts here were still plenty of wooden houses in 1936.
  19. Funny that Hudson didn't come to my mind. They made some very great looking cars in the late 1930s.
  20. The first photo:1939-40 Ford or Mercury Sedan? But the car is so heavily colorized that whitout knowing that the card is American I would have guessed something European: 1939 Ford Taunus, Hanomag of the same vintage or even the post-war Czech Aero Minor. The second photo: 1936 Chevrolet Coupe and 1940 La Salle V8 series 52 Sedan
  21. What about 1936-43 GAZ-M1 "Emka"? But very they ever made as a Tudor? I can remember only seen one in a Russian museum in 2000 and it was of course a 4-door. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/GAZ-M1
