JanZverina
Just in case, a CA contact for now obscure Dynaflow parts is Martin Trouillon, at (310) 679-5697.
Smartin
Thanks, Jan. I ordered and paid for parts today. Hopefully we have what we need. If not, I will be calling Martin.I will keep this experience in mind if I ever decide to buy another car with a Flight Pitch again.
Smartin
Parts arrived Thursday evening...some were wrong. Straightening out tomorrow...new parts coming Thursday again. Rear end and torque tube are nearly complete. I need to clean up and reattach the brake lines. Have I mentioned I'll never have another flight pitch car? buick man
Smartin just saying, If you want to be correct with the finish on the Torque tube in front of the brown front pinion housing as it was never painted and today one can just clear coat it or use Eastwood's Diamond Clear in a spray can. Ask me how I know. BTW: Does anyone have a reliable source for the strut bar to torque tube rubber bushings where it attaches near X in middle of frame and also the rubber bushings for the rear axle mounted diagonal sway bar?Keep up the good work. It will come together.

Smartin
Transmission is back in the car!Tomorrow after work - fill trans fluid, bleed brakes, DRIVE.
Smartin
So now I get to replace the rear brake lines. One of them developed a microscopic hole that I found when I tried to bleed the brakes.I filled the trans with fluid and topped it off after rowing through the gears. I guess it burped some air, because I now have to do a full detail under the hood after it puked fluid everywhere. Oh well, it needs a bath, anyway.[
JohnD1956
Wish there was something to say that could make this experience better, but I can't think of anything other than : it is a beautiful Buick, and I'm sure it is worth the effort you are forced to expend on it. Hang in there Adam.

Glassesguy
Updates, Adam. How does it drive now with the restored Flight Pitch??
Smartin
It is a completely different car!! I still haven't put many miles on it yet, but I can feel that it is so much tighter and responsive. It sure did scare the hell out of me thinking that it might not work when I reinstalled it. JohnD1956
Adam, So glad you were able to sort this all out and get her back on the highway. Can you really feel the difference between that and a regular 58 DynaFlow?
Smartin
I'm not sure about the comparison between this and the standard dynaflow, but from old to new it's night and day.
Guest Rob McDonald
Adam, it's so good to read a happy ending to the latest chapter in your car's story! Once again, it's a marvel that your Dynaflow worked at all, with all the problems that it suffered.
dmfconsult
Adam, what's the latest on the car? Did the 58 get sold? I'm also curious as to what will replace it in the garage...

Alfa
I would also like to see the photos, having owned a 1960 Electra hardtop for 15 years. It is gone now, but sadly missed. I really enjoyed that car.Adam..
