This Buick is powered by the straight 8 cylinder engine mated to a column shift 3-speed manual transmission. Interior is in excellent condition. This Buick runs and drives great. One thing, that makes me suspicious/looks weird is placement of rear bumper - for some reason it protrudes more than it should. Or is it just a weird angle of photo??? No, it is not that Buick for sure - that car had a original interior, original paint with issues and engine compartment looked absolutely different. GLWTS Maybe you're right - it's just a weird photo angle. In this photo that filler panel seems so long, that there's almost a place for Continental kit on it. I believe that Country Classic Cars went through an ownership change a year or so ago. In the past it seemed like exactly what youre saying. They would have a car at a cant be beat price. But once you looked at the details it became obvious why it was priced the way it was. I read that the new owners wanted to 'upgrade' their cars a bit and present a better quality auto than what had been. I have never been there and dont know the owners but do see their ads quite often. Overall their prices have gone up considerably compared to the previous owner. No, as others have stated, the "apron" between the body and the bumper was standard on the '41, and it's only the distortion of the wide-angle camera lens that makes it look weird. Here's a shot of my Super for comparison: This car looks very good to me (based only on the photos, of course). The interior is in excellent condition, particularly the wood-graining on the dash, window garnishes, and seat back. All the difficult to find trim parts (knobs, window cranks, etc.) are there, and the gauges, dash panels and steering wheel are also in great shape. Assuming it has no serious mechanical issues, it looks like a really good deal at that price, although I know nothing about that particular dealer. Edit: Having looked at the interior photos in more detail, I realize that my statement about "all the trim parts" being there wasn't completely correct. The ivory plastic "wings" on the window garnish moldings are missing in a few places, but reproductions of these parts are easily obtainable. Previously the prices were great, but the quality and customer service was terrible in my opinion. We have been getting rid of much of the old inventory and upgrading inventory quality throughout the last year and a half. We have almost a completely new staff and management. Prices have gone up as they have with everything in this economy, but that is primarily due to the type of cars we are buying now and also the cost of acquisition and shipping has gone up tremendously. Fossil Posted February 14 Share Posted February 14 This is good news. Several years ago when looking for a car I almost pulled the trigger on a car the previous owners had listed. Thankfully I ran into some reviews from prior customers that were less than flattering so never completed the transaction. It's nice to hear your taking things in the right direction.
