marcapra
I'm wondering if anyone can name this car make and take a stab at the year. I know it's not a Model T or A.
Fordy
'26 Hupmobile A Coupe? The mold line extending around the back of the roof looks similar but the visor over windshield may suggest otherwise?
Xander Wildeisen
It looks like it has a push/pull door handle.

Xander Wildeisen
Any photographic evidence of the first vise grip door handle? Not wanting to get off topic on the question. 1929-31 car in my opinion. Looks close to a Hudson. Body stamping was similar on a lot of cars in that time frame. Someone on here will ID it. Xander Wildeisen
I think 34 was the first year for suicide doors on a Hudson?

They went to those VERY early. Started in 1915 or so. Edited February 15, 2023 by keiser31 (see edit history)

Craig Hey Craig, I've had the driver side door card off of my T-Bird for a year now with a vice grip interior door handle. Vice Grip: The Duct Tape of Tools.

Craig You bet. The car is hardly driven and I've been sidetracked from my project. The vice grips are just for egress when I'm working on my interior. marcapra
It could be early 40s due to the age of the body, or late 30s. As a hint, I got the pic from a post about the Dust Bowl Okies. John, brillant deduction on naming it as a Chevrolet! Not many Chevies of that age around anymore.
keiser31
Interestingly, the drip rail is slightly longer on the car in the old photo.
alsfarms
If you could just keep the wood together on these early Chevrolets there would be a whole lot more of them around. 1929 - 1932 are real good designs for Chevrolets. Al
