jdome
Cadillac had same radiator from 15 to 18 but I think 19 has a taller & wider hood & radiator and a different emblem. 15 emblem is just the crest, not a circle. I would say this is 16-18 Cadillac.
30DodgePanel
Agreed. Here are some samples: American Auto Emblems: CADILLAC
sagefinds
I don't think the 15 had an emblem on the radiator shell,18 and 19 were both type 57 so they were pretty much identical, the radiator in the OP is a honeycomb aftermarket, not an original finned type.
TheMoneyPit
Cadillac came out with this emblem for the first V8 in 1915, it’s one of the hardest Cadillac emblems to find if not the hardest although it doesn’t command the same pricing as the late V12 or V16 emblems do. The one above replaced this style in 1916 as previously mentioned. Sorry for the poor picture… Theres also a story behind the white swans as opposed to the black ducks in the later emblems, I think it can be found on the Cadillac website if anyone is interested. I was just going by the fact that I've had two 1915 Cadillacs, still have one, plus a shell off a third and none of them had emblems. I've read that Cadillac called the duck looking things "Martlets". sagefinds
Okay,I looked in the 1915-19 parts book, under 'radiator casing with emblem" the only listings are type 55(1917) and type 57(1918-19). There are also differences in the radiators themselves,1915 is listed by itself,1916 and 17 same,1918-19 separate listing. I presume differences are subtle but there are differences.
sagefinds
Looked again, there is a listing for outside casing with clips and emblems 1916 and 17. Actually type 53-55 in the book. Still nothing listed for 15 type 51 that I can see.
