Fossil
Just wish they would take the time to post one under the hood photo. Seems like it would lend so much to the sale.
Bleach
The light blue color was never used by Studebaker on any of their models. I even double checked all the paint chips for that year. Also the seat material is not original. The vertical seat inserts were cloth or vinyl but never velour.

But I wonder about the paint color. If light blue wasn't offered in 1964, possibly the original buyer of the 1964 ordered his car with a previous year's paint color--a practice that at least Cadillac promoted, and Studebaker could have done on special order as well. See pictures below. One of our local members has a 1962 Studebaker GT Hawk (the same model, 2 years earlier) in light blue. And another local member had a 1958 Hawk painted in a similar or identical light blue: Edited December 30, 2021 by John_S_in_Penna (see edit history) 3
Bleach
I didn't check earlier years. The '64 looked odd to me with the light blue which is why I checked. The only blue colors I found for '64 were poly, iridescent, AKA metallic. My dad had a '56 Sky Hawk in similar colors to the '58 above except without the fins. I always had an interest in Studebaker speedsters because of that. Sadly I never was able to get one before my father passed. Fossil
I think it's pretty much a given that the seat upholstery isn't original but the car looks good and a buyer would probably prefer the seats in this car to ones that are split or torn. I know I would. These are such nice looking cars and deserver more attention than they get.
SMB
They also had a Strato Blue in 64. Example on this Golden Hawk
TAKerry
The styling on these cars were leaps and bounds above the big 3. 1

I know I would. I feel the opposite - the buyer and seller are more likely to agree on price when they agree on the value/status of the interior. Spiffy polyester job = excellent interior to some.

kingrudy
Well, there is the paint on the firewall, so it seems as though this might have been a special order color for this year.
