1956 Chrysler Windsor 2-door Hardtop

All original condition, V8, very clean and straight and 100% complete. Has been parked for many years, it currently runs and drives but does need brakes.

I think that a weekend spent with a vacuum cleaner, bucket, scrub brush and some chrome polish would make a big difference on this car...

I see general weathering & deterioration well past the point of no return. Needs an expensive repaint & rear bumper rechroming for sure. Headliner replacement should be a top priority too. This was once someone's toy but it's been neglected for far too long. And then there are those brakes.....now it needs someone to sink a lot of  $$$$$$ into it and that's why it's for sale.

I agree with The 55er that the car is not as good as it first appears.  Unless the price is significantly lower I expect a big money pit. Other, nicer ones have been posted  at a better price for value point.

A thought that had never occurred to me before -- I see salmon and black colors in the interior. I wonder if used car dealers used to repaint cars that were the highly stylized fifties colors after they went out of style? It would be a shame, but once things become passe they are harder to sell.

Based on a car that I saw on an auction site, the yellow was originally the same brown as the door vinyl. The PE or dealer probably wanted to dress it up a little, they ended up with a better looking car as the brown really kills the sleek body style. The seats are covered, but they are brown with white underneath them. Maybe in better shape than the covers.

Looks like it might be a pretty solid car that might only need some minor repair and sprucing up. If the Nevada location translates to little or no rust, I'd say it's probably worth the money. Thanks for posting.

This Chrysler is one of those cars that looks great when they are all done but they look bad if they get a little shabby.

May be a good project if you can grab it for around $5k.

Even the Windsor has all that 56 Chrysler styling. Great opportunity for someone to step into a 50’s hardtop.
