Devilbuick41
Hi All, I'm still trying to source some parts: Tapered hood hinge and rear cowl cover, kind of vital for holding the hood on. Air cleaner for Stromberg S1. Interior door mouldings for front doors. Hub caps - an leads on where to get them? Thanks, Steve
Devilbuick41
Hi All, Any leads on any of the above appreciated. Thanks, Steve
rbk
I have some of the parts from a Model 54 hood. It has the hinge but I don't know what a tapered hinge looks like. I can not ship but you can stop by on your way to Indy. Where are you located. Robert Kapteyn studebaker@mac.com 815 212 twothreeeightnine
docwiese
I tried to call the number you have listed back in 2008 to talk to you about parts... You say you have a large warehouse of parts... I have a 37 Sedan president and a 39 coupe... Can you call me as I do not get notification on this forum and then do not response on timely basis... 541 234 6440 or 541 414 5190 is my cell... If I am not in or miss your call leave a message regarding your number and when to call you back. I have others that need parts as well.

Devilbuick41
Hi All, I'm not having much luck finding these parts - anyone got any leads? For the hood hinge can someone who has a 1932 Model 55 measure it for me? Length, width and height at the front end and rear end? Thanks in advance, Steve

studerex
How long is your hood center? Found this today when searching for something else. Also have the end cap at cowl.
Devilbuick41
Sorry, been a little busy recently. That looks perfect, the bonnet is 36" so a little extra on to the radiator and cowl would be idel. Drop me a PM with the cost and postage to UK please. Thanks, Steve
(S)
I would think the right one for a model 55 should be around more than the more rare longer ones. I have been looking for a Commander hinge for awhile, but less Commanders were made.
starlightcoupe
On a somewhat related search, the chromed hinge, part # 1240XW, and 34-3/4" long, is intact on my '33 Rockne 10, but the center hinge supports are not. Part # 255317. Should anyone come across them in their travels, or when parting out any '32, '33 Models 65, 75 or 10, I could certainly use two of them. Devilbuick41
Thanks to Studerex I now have the hood hinge 😊, but need the front support bracket similar to Starlightcoupe's post above although mine would be part No.170898. Just the following to find now: Air cleaner for Stromberg S1. Interior door mouldings for front doors. Hub caps - an leads on where to get them? And also a fuel pick up and sender. George Rohrbach
It would be good for you to put a pic of the correct hubcap, with some measurements on here. That way people can look at what they might have, as a bunch of the cars look the same!
Devilbuick41
I've got wire wheels, about 5 3/4" dia centre. I think that they should be like the four in the picture, I need five as one for the side mount spare.
Tom Devoe
Someone had one hubcap at the Dunkirk NY swap meet. I didn't get his name or contact info, but someone on here will hopefully know him. His wife was polishing it when I saw it. studerex
This is what I have for hinge support. I believe it is for 31 president at the radiator.
Devilbuick41
Thanks Rex, The picture below is the radiator shell with a central hole, the two wider protruding holes are for the cowls stay bars. Not sure the one you found is going to work. Cheers, Steve
studerex
The 2 slotted holes are where the front support mounts. The photo I posted is a repop that has not been drilled. For a 31 president.
Devilbuick41
I'm still looking for the following: Air cleaner for Stromberg S1. Interior door garnish mouldings for front doors. Devilbuick41
Is anyone else able to contact KM Lifestyle for me, I suspect that they may not want to deal with overseas shipping etc at the moment as I'm from England. Or, if anyone knows the Ohm range for Stewart Warner gauges I can see if an aftermarket sender would work. Cheers, Steve

Cheers, Steve I've finally had a response but not what I was expecting 😲 "We do not know of anyone selling a combination fuel sender. We could build you a custom direct\electric fuel sender, we would need some more information on that. The estimated cost would be around $1,200usd. and about 3 months to build." Hi Rex, Its a Stewart Warner electric gauge. It would be good if the Ford unit would work but wanted to check the Omh range was the same. studerex
See the introduction service bulletin for 1932 models attached. I remembered they mentioned the new electric gauge. I thought they might have put the ohms, but did not. I'll do more searching. Edited January 10, 2022 by studerex (see edit history)
