MrEarl
I’ve asked for more info on the rust and engine and when last on the road. Is this the original upholstery? what’s the deal with the plastic over the rear carpet reckon These convertibles have always been a fave of mine but sadly not in the market these days. @Thriller
1965rivgs
Earl, I`d assume that is the original leather upholstery, pretty sure the Electra had that option. I once bought a `65 Catalina with 20K miles with that plastic across the rear carpet. I`ve also had other cars on which I`ve removed the door sill plates to find remnants of clear plastic. I`m going out on a limb here and propose the cars were delivered to the dealers with that clear plastic covering the carpeting. Probably a babied garage kept car by the looks of it. The unanswered question is what`s left of the frame and floors? Thanks for posting, Tom Mooney
lancemb
Neat car, but with unknown rust and locked engine, seller may have to take their eyes off a quick sale.

60FlatTop
A less discerning buyer will snap that car up and be happy for the next 30 or 40 years. That's happened many times. It's pretty hard to take a flyer on something and lose 100%.
lancemb
I texted seller and sale is pending. 1

MrEarl
put up wet and salty in a dirt floor garage I'm bettin. If it was undercoated when new, floors could still be good though.
The 55er
Typical rusty car from the northeast saltbelt. Rust is always worse than it looks. If the car's been for sale for 3 months with no takers, it's probably not worth the asking price.
lancemb
I think this car requires a rust-free doner to fix properly, and somebody with plenty of time and skills who isn't worried about making their money back.
Paul from PA
Seller says, "has some rust in floors, not bad tho. Needs rear body mount" I believe these guys do a lot of buying out west for trucks and truck parts. Probably picked up the Buick locally at is has a PA inspection.

This is a cool car but I wouldn’t touch it for anything. Maybe a parts car, as much as I hate to see another interesting car gone. - John
